I'm worried if a team with an OC or HC vacancy will try get Flynn and have Clements follow. I'm not sure if a team looking for OC or HC is looking for a QB, but its a possibility

Only good thing about McDaniels is he would probably bring Brandon Lloyd with him.

Martz would be hysterical. I could totally see Rex punching him out on the sideline.

Despite Francesa's comments yesterday, we will probably have to accept the fact that Shoddy will be back calling the same unimaginative, sh-t offense in 2012.

I don't see how he gets the JAX job, and Rex already came out and said they won't fire him.

This might actually be a good scenario for THIS team... We need an OC, and we also need a viable backup option that can push Sanchez, and even take over if need be.

I would only be a proponent of this if Flynn got paid back up money, which is uncertain at this point.

Clements installs a real NFL caliber offense, let Flynn and Sanchez battle it out and let the best man win... If Sanchez loses the starting spot then thats that.

i highly doubt flynn is going to settle for a backup job.

being groomed behind the best qb in football who was groomed behind a hof qb is a pretty good pedigree. this is a league where teams are signing/trading for guys like kolb, tarvaris jackson, carson palmer, etc to lead their teams.

clements or joe freaking lombardi would be great.

The reason you have above is why I think we will not be getting Flynn. Someone is going to give him a starting job with starting money, and I'm afraid Clements follows him there and doesn't look other places.

I don't think Rex and him would mesh. Todd looks like he rips into players and just cannot control his anger. Match that with Rex and I just don't see it working.

I dont think he'll get paid backup money because there are QB desperate teams that will look at his two games in pay him starter money... I think he'll be highly pursued in FA, we'll have to see

But as for OC, Joe Lombardi and Tom Clements are at the top of my list. We can NOT promote within.

I know Shotty's bad but we don't need to replace him with a defensive coordinator.

A lot of people are overlooked the Houston offensive coaching staff, they pretty much replicate what we want to be(good running game/play action based). By looking at the 3 different QB's that have started for that team I can tell that system is QB friendly.

There are enough people coming out to fill those needs. If he gets starter money it will be a one or two year deal. I don't think he will.

Norv is a loser. Thats why it is great that the Chargers are going to retain him. He Sucks as a HC and he actually has great talent in SD yet he continually fails. The fact that Norv Turner is keeping his job is jaw dropping. Poor chargers fans - they are destined to continue to suck.

clements is from upstate new york ( lyons) just like tom coughlin. he went to play in the cfl after college, and may have coached there. between that experience and being with green bat under mccarthy, he certainly understands that you have to throw deep , even in the west coast offense.

don't know if he ever was a jets or giants fan. hope not bills.
