What about a serious lack of discipline? I think that is a bigger issue spawning all the penalties, piss poor tackling, in-fighting and mofos pouting on the sidelines during the game. Rex had got to stop being so nice to his players and become "I am not going to let you players fuck around anymore" type of coach. Because clearly this whole "players coach" bs is slowing rotting the locker room from the inside out.

honestly I'm very glad this is happening. I've felt for a long time this team was painted over rust. And now hopefully this whole organization can be cleansed and we can start over again.

If you don't have a QB then you won't win anything. I hope they realize that and decide whether Mark is ever going to get there. Cause I don't think any of us can really say if he will ever be good. Sure doesn't look like it but I'm no expert.

You guys really think that lack of talent is the problem? Maybe at a few positions, but on the whole, the Jets are loaded with talent.

The problem is that the team has no heart or chemistry to pull together and win close games.

If this collapse wasn't a demonstration on how important team chemistry is I don't really know how else people like you will be convinced.

I disagree about the talent on this team. We as fans were so hungry for something special that we overrated guys like Keller, Greene and Sanchez even though they have never been consistent enough to be considered "talented."

If they are not acting like a team then who fault is that Rex? What is he going to cry them into being a team? Fire him.

Rex is a great defensive mind but he is not HC material. When a team goes into chaos like this its the start of bad things. We have seen as good as its going to get from Rex. Replace Rex now and lets start a new direction.

Rex needs to draw a line. hyHe doesn;t have to be a martinet. But he has no line of any kind.

I think people wanting Rex out because of this are off base, saying his style doesnt work is off base as well, we have an entire roster of players and only one of them is causing problems, and that is Holmes. Everyone else is behaving themselves. Scott giving the finger to the reporters has nothing to do with Rex, it has to do with Bart Scott being pissed off. Regardless, I guess we finally see why the Steelers gave us Holmes for a 5th rounder.

This offseason, we need to trade holmes, re-sign Braylon, and draft a WR or sign another FA. Braylon, Kerley, and another FA or Draft pick WR would do well for us.

And finally, Rex NEEDS to let the players vote on Captains.

I agree with you 100 percent. The toxic NY media is doing everything in it's power to tear our team apart and I applaud Rex and Scott for trying to preserve some semblance of team unity. Changes need to be made, but the core of the team needs to maintain it's belief. Otherwise, we're back to SOJ.

Ryan's mouth has NOTHING to do with 2011. He did the same thing in 2009 and 2010.

What was different this year were the CANCERS in the lockerroom.

Anyone who can't see that is a moron.

How many times have we seen NFL teams completely turn around their fate (+6 to +10 wins) in one season? It happens almost every year. And a lot of times you see the turnaround with minimal talent change. Shows you that coaching / chemistry / whatever you want to call (sometimes luck) it has a huge effect - especially in football.

Talent gets you onto the field, but to think that it's the only difference beween winners and losers really is shortsighted.

Ya thats as good as it gets dude.

Coach takes over a talented team - fills it with a lot of big talk - becomes thier buddies - motivates them in the short term but it collapses in the long term. It always goes like that. Rex will never get back to the playoffs with the Jets. Next year we are going to be 6-10 with Rex.
