Why didnt we just run the clock out? Why are we throwing the ball? I know we could have gotten into field goal position. But why trust sanchez after last weeks debacle. Because the coaches really believe that they have a good QB. In all seriousness if Rex and Schotty would approach the sitution as this guy is pretty bad, it would have had saved the season. He's below average, run the ball 55-60 percent of the time and only let him throw when he has to. NO halftime fuck ups or in your endzone oopsy would happen. Simple
They were near mid-field with the chance to give Folk an opportunity to try a 50+ yd FG. IIRC, they had at least one timeout left. In a game where you're fighting for your playoff lives, it's a one-score game, and the other team gets the ball to start the second half, I'm happy they're trying to get some points.
Awful thread. You can't trust your QB at the 40 yard line to attempt to score there? If he threw an INT 20 yards down the field they'd have no shot at a FG. It was the worst possible scenario basically.
