I disagree - I think it would fill the huge hole at QB. Then when you have a QB that defenses respect - And the Giants surely didn't respect Sanchize, the running game opens up more and the pass rush is nuetralized - Pocket awareness, ability to read a blitz and make the right calls and get rid of the ball in a timely manner also help a great deal..... Unbelievable how people say fixing the QB disaster won't help.
Brady gets respect because 1. his OL protects him and 2. Pats play allows his WRs to get open quickly. Watch how many times Brady holds the ball long. He does hold the ball long once in a blue moon, but that happens when the defense is rushing only 3 or 4. Now, I have been crying from the bottom of my lung for a year by now. Short passing attack and ground attack don't mesh well because both will force the defense to crowd the LoS, and the offense does not have effective means to stretch it in any favorable fashion. Is Sanchez supposed to pull rabbit out of his hat to make this work? I don't know but all I know is that these two elements do not go together - and that is the scheme of the master architect, Brian Schottenheimer. So cry about Sanchez all you will - let's see Andrew Luck can succeed in this bullshit system. If he fails in 3 years, (actually, [when he fails in 3 years] and not [if]) what are you going to say? Your problem here is that you speak of Tom Brady, Andrew Luck and ehhhem, Mark Sanchez as if they have the same skill sets..... They don't. I've been remarkably good at picking good NFL QB's in the past 40 years after seeing 3 years on the field and I regret to inform you that Sanchez is no better than a David Carr... Sanchez cowers from a pass rush where the good one's side step the rush and turn that into the best plays of the day. Sanchez locks into 1 target and can't read thru a progression. Sanchez isn't calling the correct adjustments at the LOS.... Sanchez' accuracy BLOWS. He's really bad. This isn't funny anymore.... I would hope my team never ever again drafts a QB with little experience and who has never seen snow with a maybe slightly above average arm and height... This is East Coast football - we need a Man at QB... Imo, Sanchez is a Panzy. And I have historically given QB's time... Sanche'z Time is Up.

He will fit our defense perfectly, and be a big time pass rusher for us that we have never gotten out of Pace. If we upgrade our o line like I mentioned above we will instantly go back to having one of the best in the NFL. We will be able to RUN the ball, and it will help Sanchez regain confidence in the pocket.
Levi Brown is terrible: he's Hunter bad. Carl Nicks is really good and is going to demand a massive contract-he might very well get tagged. I'd be shocked if the Jets could get him, particularly since the cap looks reasonably tight next year. Lester will be probably be a first round or early second round pick, and Upshaw a top ten guy, so you're not getting both of them.
They're not rookie free agents, they're established free agents (Brown is terrible, Nicks a pro bowl caliber player).

First of all the JETS should lose this game vs Miami. Put ourselves in or around the middle of the pack for draft pick. A loss will also ensure Schittenheimer gets the boot. I would absolutely hate to see the JETS play extremely well, not make the playoffs, and have Shitty around another year. Essentially put us back another year. The draft is deep with WR. I don't see the need to take a WR in the first 2 rounds. Id prefer to see us go DE, LB, or Safety. Assuming we are somewhere in the middle of the pack, some names to mention are Quinton Coples, Mark Barron, Zach Brown. Braylon had a terrible season, I do not see any team giving him the big contract he has been hoping for. Perhaps we can get him at a discounted rate and that can fill our WR need. We need to add strength to our front 7. This team is based around defense, not offense. Imagine if Revis and Cro had a strong front 7. That is what I would like to see happen. Just my 2 cents.
