Taking something positive from the game would you say baker could have a career here? Looks decent blocking and had decent hands. Thoughts?

    He is better than Mulligan.

He has good hands..but this is the Jets offense. Put Keller with a team that utilizes their TE and he'd be so good. All the best Qb's make their TE's look so good. So it might be Sanchez' fault as to why Keller doesn't produce as much.

I hope so, so there could be another "Baker, the touchdown maker.."

That red traffic cone you see on the street is better than Mulligan.

Keller is talented, but in my opinion, overrated. He seems to take plays off . He has a concentration/focus problem.

Keller runs decent routes he just doesn't have the explosiveness of an elite TE ala Gronk, Graham, Gates etc.

Not sure about Josh Baker, they didn't look his way once after the TD.

See I think its the opposite-- I think Keller has the explosiveness and measurables but doesn't play to them (I.E.- doesn't run good crisp routes or have a sense for zone softness that other TE's have). For a guy that runs a 4.5 40 yard dash and has the vertical and agility that he's measured, he always seems to be tightly covered.

Not to mention, he drops too many passes. He'll make some nice catches, but then he'll frustrate you the next time he's thrown to.

Agreed. As for Baker he is the 3rd TE and 2nd FB + ST player. Might stick around depending on wha we do in the draft with TEs.
