I think that this guy would be a huge pickup for the Jets, he is young and extreamly talented. The cowboys have Barber and Jones, two great RB's, What if the Jets trade one of their 2 2nd rounders, a 4th rounder and Blaylock?

I don't want Jones anywhere near the Jets.
    I never liked him.
He does not block worth a darn. Marion Barber took some of Jones' playing time away last season for this very reason.
Jones is not a good pass receiver.
    He does not stay healthy.

I think people are infatuated with this player because he played on the sexy Notre Dame and Cowboys teams.

    When he's healthy, he's a beast. I'll take him.

No, i wouldn't give a 2nd round pick for a frail RB like jones.

Dont trade, see what we have. A move like this may come back to haunt us in the next draft. Lets just see what we have and let Magini let these guys finally get some playing time not like the Herm days when they all just sat and watched.

    1) This is not MLB, trades just don't happen

    2) Dallas has said they want to split carries.

Blaylock would mean a cap hit for us.

nobody the jets have now will be good enough this year, they just cant hack it...if the FO is looking deeply at every team for a trade...then obviously the backfield is a mess.

Just wait until next year's draft.

We can't be burning away draft picks when we are rebuilding.

    Micheal Bush, anyone?

I was thinking about maybe trading McCariens+a late round pick for Jones. With the recent injuries to Owens and Glenn, they need another veteran WR. And its not a secret that we are in the market for a RB.

I'd rather have Marion Barber III. He's a better overall player than Jones.

(For the younger fans- Barber's father played for the Jets in the 1980s.)

Not now but after Parcells retires whoever runs the new regime can decide that. I wouldn't say it's totally out of the question. When healthy the guy can move like no other.

Why on earth would they want to give up Jones in order to take in Blaylock? You think a couple measly draft picks will entice them?? Haha, your attempts are laughable!

I wouldn't be upset with that, but I'd rather the jets just used the current RBs.

I'd rather just take Thomas Jones for that second rounder if you guys really want to trade it that bad.

Use Current RB's and see what happens after the season. Better RB's might be available, or we can draft one. We'd pay too high a price for a mid-grade RB if we traded now. The whole Jones family is too injury prone to trade a 2nd rounder for.

Way to much to offer. For a rebuilding team, draft picks are gold. Wait closer to the end of camp and see who has a surplus or gets cut and buy cheap. It is not like rb is the link keeping us from the Super Bowl. In my most optomistic scenario, we could contend for a wild card, but a championship not a playoff spot should be the goal. All transactions should be evaluated by does this bring us closer to a championship.
