If the Giants rush the passer like the Eagles did today we are in for a hell of a night.

We may be able to fix this by using the TE and chipping the end (Which despite babins 90000 sacks we didnt do )

Two back sets (shotgun w/ 2 RBS)

but if we decide we dont want to, hello 8-7

The Giants don't have the team speed the Eagles have and their D is as bad as the Pats D is. This game doesn't have the matchup problems the Eagles presented with their overall team speed. Should be a much closer game.

    I mentioned that before,

their runners are more down hill
    Less explosive receivers
Their TE is slow and if we go man should be able to catch him
    Their CB's are worse
    QB isnt as mobile

They have a pass rush and better LBs

    1) the eagles D is also as bad as the pats D, and the eagles held us to 16 points.

    2) that horrible pats D also didnt have trouble holding us to an average of 18 points in the 2 games we played them.

it really doenst matter how bad the opposing teams defense is, because we have an offensive coaching staff that refuses to take advantage of mismatches and wont adjust.

and if you think shotty is going to adjust to jason pierre-paul abusing hunter all game, you are crazy. i mean he let babin, ware, and others abuse him 1 on 1 all game all year

schotty is about the only coach who thinks its a good idea to go empty backfield after your qb has been sacked like 4 times by the third quarter.

the problems are far more than just offensive coaching staff.

it's the oline, reciever, qb and running backs. jets are winners against the bottom dwellers but not good enough to beat the better teams. dysfunction junction as far as offense and qb. everything has to go perfect for the qb to perform at a reasonably good level because the qb is so inaccurate and slow to get the ball out at times.

this team is what they've shown up to this point, a middle of the pack team that may or may not make the playoffs, and if they do, "one and done!"

Play call/design on helping the RT and protecting sanchez was horrid... we ran the ball 4 straight times or 40 yrds in the begining and then completly abondoned it...unreal

yet the pats beat us twice and convincingly the second time. any pass rush at all and sanchez is useless.

Jason Pierre-Paul is a monster. If he's matched up with Wayne Hunter, Sanchez is going to get killed.

Umm when ANY qb gets hit over and over, he's pretty much useless. Aaron Rodgers had his worst game of the season yesterday and it just so happened to be the game when he was pressured from start to finish and his offensive line played like crap.

    This....is Spot on.

At the end of the day we are not good enough to beat the good teams. If it was not for Tony OhNo fumbling the ball in the Dallas Game, we are probably not in the playoff discussion. Unfortunately the Jets are not as good as Rex thinks we are and everyone knows it.

At this point I am not sure I want to see the Jets in the playoffs. Moreover, I have no reason to believe that we can beat the Giants this weekend....None.

All the Gints have to do is overload Hunter's side and Sanchez will be running for his life all night long OR, Schotty will just have to keep the ball on the ground and play Denver football.

We should have went after Reggie Bush. This offense literally has no speed. We move up and down the field at a snail's pace, and that's when we're not going 3 and out. The mediocrity of this offense will always be our bottleneck, though, our defense did play like utter crap today. I don't even think it's about Sanchez improving anymore. When your receivers aren't getting open, and your line isn't blocking, the hell is he supposed to do? Is it so much to ask that our receivers actually get separation?

    Dude..really?

Did you see Wayne Hunter last night?

Did the see the games where we did good?

Do you see the the difference? On the games where we did good, Wayne Hunter wasn't letting the opposing team through the o-line at will and en-masse.

I don't know why you're bringing up Shonn Green (or the RB's) or the WR's as the problem. It's the O-line. always has been.

    O-line does good = win.
    O-line does bad = lose.

it has EVERYTHING to do with the OC, because he puts our offense in position to fail, and has going doing things that play to their weakness. even the worst OC's in the NFL would have us looking 10 times better. shotty belongs in grammar school teaching gym class. not running an NFL offense...

    - running a play in your own endzone with 1 reciever?
    - running 5 guys short of the sticks on 3rd down a bajillion times
    - going 5 wide when your team cant even come close to pass protecting
    - leaving hunter 1 on 1 with: Ware, Suggs, Babin, Carter, etc after getting abuse all game and not adjusting

Bush is much younger than a washed up LT who can't run the ball at all anymore. All LT is good for is check downs and screen passes.

my point was bush is a 3rd down type back who is explosive in the right situations, but useless if used wrong.

shotty would use him wrong, thus he'd be useless

having bush run right up the gut 2 times in a row, then running a hook 5 yards short of the sticks on 3rd downs isnt going to result in big plays
