Is going to the Linc rooting for the road team actually dangerous?

    :lol::rofl2::rofl:

I have been to several away games, a few of the stadiums more than once.
Of all the places I went to I only have had one "issue" and it was very minor.
Other than that I haven't had any problems.

Now, I have never been to the Vet or LFF but I will say this, it depends on where you sit.
If your gonna sit with the rowdy you'll have an issue asa you cheer a few times.
I'm sure you can score better seats than the Uppers right now so I'd look for a good section where people care about their tix...lol

Don't drive a car with NJ/NY plates unless you want it keyed and pissed on, or maybe someone will kick a charcoal grill under your car so you'll see it go up in flames. They're a bunch of savages. Remember that the City of Philadelphia actually had to put a municipal court in the basement of the old Vet stadium to process all of the assault and drunkness charges.

I often go to Dodger-Phillie games with Dodger stuff on and never had a problem, but that's a whole different sport and vibe, I guess.

Why not just go all in and wear a Hugh Douglas jersey?

We are heading there, doing our tailgatejoe party thing as well. I'm not too worried, their season is over anyway.

"Rocky is fictional, Rocky is fictional..." The Empire Supporters Club (metrostars/redbulls, BEST supporters club in the MLS) preferred chant towards the Philly team, the Union.

    Fuck them.

I've been to the Vet when I was 13-14 for a Mets/Phillies game. Went with a big chunk of my family, all of whom had neutral colors, but me. I had my Mets jersey and hat on. Had no problems really. Just that Mike Piazza was a fag, etc etc. Also went again in 05 for a Met game. Had no problems, and saw no problems.

BUT for a football game, I won't go. Not even for my beloved Jets. Sorry. Heard waaay to much shit that goes on during Eagles games. Especially from some friends who are Giants fans. AND I wouldn't be able to go to the game without cheering or wearing something JETS related.

But if you do go, good luck!

I used to go to mets/phils games at the vet was i was younger without problems. The phils sucked back then. Ever since theyve been competitive, the so called phils fans have come out of the woodwork. Ive had a few bad experiences at the new stadium with fans and ball park workers so i no longer go there. Philadelphia fans are fucking animals bottom line. Im with you on DEF not going to the Linc. Good luck to those of you going to the game.

My former wife had friends and family who lived about 25 mins outside central Philly, Abingdon, Willow Grove, Horsham area and we used to visit once maybe twice a year when we were financially flush - flights were inexpensive and we always had somewhere to stay.

I got a beer thrown at me at a so called family bbq one time when wearing a Jets t-shirt, got refused service in a diner when wearing a Jets cap and the worst was when I went with my former brother in law (he's a transplanted Vikings fan) to the Linc in 2004 for week 2 game.Lars had a Vikings decal on the car, got charged double to park and the verbal harassment during the game was really obnoxious and threatening. The group we we were with didn't react and had some emptys and food wrappers thrown. On getting back to the car the windshield had been smashed and the hood of the car gouged.

Went to see Eagles with other friends who are Eagles fans twice before that and had no problems. Every Philly fan I met from Pennsylvania said yeah there is a problem but blamed on those from Camden just across the Delaware in South Jersey.

Never experiences a problem the few times I saw the Phillies or the 76ers

i guess based on the responses of this thread the chances of finding jets fans there in the lot are slim to nil

Apparently the Philly media is encouraging fans to cheer for the Jets in order to bring real change to the Eagle's franchise, so it might be a quasi- Jets home game. :breakdance:

I just read an article in the post about a Jets fan getting attacked on our OWN turf now. I'm beginning to re-think going to the Jets/Dolphins game on New Years Day...unless someone has a bullet proof vest I can borrow.

Great idea. You could probably get away with a Green Jets Douglas Jersey if they were drunk enough.

eh...... I've been to 4 or 5 JETS games in Miami, not a big deal.
With how bad they are this year, I'll guess that more than half the stadium will be JETS fans :)

I will be down in Atlantic City watching the Jets Game at the Borgata. I know there will be a good mix of Jets fans along with the Eagles fans who won't be in the linc.

Plus I love the Borgata as its the best Casino resort in A.C. Love it, love it, love it.

I was down in Miami once to see Jets at Dolphins. That was the time Kellen Clemens was suppose to be the QB for the future. Course Jets won that game as Thomas Jones ran it in for his only TD of the season and 1,000 yds rushing.

Everytime the Jets scored all I did was stand up to signal touchdown, pump my right fist, showed my (_|_) to the fins fans, then sat down. Not once did I start shit.

But this one kid was pissing me off. Everytime the Jets had the ball and on every snap he kept saying Fumble, Fumble, Fumble, Fumble. So annoying. When the Dolphins fumbled and the Jets got the ball, I turned around and said to him "FUMBLE!"

Do not have time to read the whole thread. Just posting to say that it is dangerous. Root for the Jets, but do not be loud or crazy. I attended a Jets at Eagles preseason game in 2008 and did not feel comfortable.
