reminds me of the post where someone said they hope the Jets kill the Raiders so badly that Rex puts a grill on the 50 yard line at halftime and goes to town.
Sanchez just needs to get a grill. Everyone forgives you when your teeth are covered with gold, platinum and diamonds. Who could hate a smile like that?
Goodell is being very hypocritical by not fining Lynch for eating on the sideline like he did Sanchez. And in case anyone forgot SEAN PAYTON was eating a hotdog up in the booth during the Saints 62-7 slaughter of the Colts on Sunday Night Football, and he didn't get fined either. Goodell's application of the NFL's nonsense rules is plain stupid.
Holy shit I never realized Sanchez was FINED? for eating the hotdog. Is there actually a written policy about eating on the sideline or do they just make this shit up as they go along? That's absolutely ridiculous.
can someone post a link confirming sanchez was fined? and players are allowed to eat on the sidelines. sanchez said he should have eaten an energy bar instead of the hot dog while apologizing.
I heard him say on the radio that his mother would givehim Skittles as a kid when he scored a TD and it has been his tradition ever since. That is why they have a supply of them on the sideline. And I also don't remember Sanchez being fined for the hot dog.
Pretty sure he got fined $5,000 for it. Thats just going off of memory though, and its not the kind of thing I would just invent. Ill see if I can find it, but I think I posted something on here at the time saying "that was one expensive hot dog..." or something like that.
Hmm yea i couldnt find anything about it either, not sure how I came to believe that. I came across Rick Mirer getting fine $1000 for eating a Dog but nothing for Sanchez, my mistake.
Jerome Bettis today was talking about the skittles thing and he was asked if he ever ate on the sidelines and he said well yea I ate a hotdog or 2, its not like I got this big from just working out. Im sure other people have eaten on the sidelines they just either don't get caught or no one cares about a STer eating a hotdog as much as the starting QB.
Lynch once ate a ham sandwich on the sidelines against the Jets when he was with the Bills. Something about an upset stomach he needed to settle. Of course he torched our D.
I wonder where "taking a piss on the sidelines" falls into this whole equation? Did Novak get in trouble for that one? I cannot remember.
Bang Cartoon Radio Hour used to interview "Bill Cowher", who said they used to leave cheeseburgers and stuff under the goalposts for Bettis. (obviously BCRH is a satirical podcast and the interviews weren't actually with Bill Cowher, but they were still funny )
