Thats the thing, we ahve a good offense and a good defense. We do not dominate in any area. The part that sucks is that it took us almost 3/4 of the season to figure out that we still needed to be a run first team. I'm happy with Marks progression. Sure it can be frustraing when he has a down game, but aover all he's still imporving. The run game has looked good when its a focus, but its not a complaimentray part of what we do. It needs to be the key becasue our lineman feed off the physical play we can bring in run blocking.
Points are more important, but the lack of yardage shows that we've been umbale to sustain long drives much of the year. That leads into the fact that for 10 games we were bad on third down. Things are looking up lately. Yardage is not waht win games, but it tells an important part of the story when evaluating just how good our offense is.

I also caluclated it manually by looking at the total point for each team. Then you subtract 7 points for every TD scored by a team's defense or special teams. It's a little time consuming, but if you use links correctly it's not really that bad.
I think my 25th in yards/game point was taken out of context. Obviously it's more important to score than to get yards. However, we still don't move the ball well. And against good teams you need to move the ball because they don't make mistakes and give you the field position. I'm just saying that our offense has not been super effective and it definitely has been inconsistent.
Can go both ways buddy. Schefter tweeted that Schotty is a prime candidate for a vacant head coaching job around NFL circles.
Clearly you don't watch the games. The team has sucked in all three phases when Mangold was out. People don't realize how important he is to every side of the ball.
6 TDs in the redzone so far on his recovery year  a big ass weapon that even Schotty couldn't fuck up
This team is primed for a playoff run imo, just gotta make it. The team that worries me the most is the Ravens. The rest I know we are capable of beating (including the Patriots). Hopefully our offense can stay on a role.
Unless Tom Moore is willing to take the job I don't want anyone to replace schotty. You guys are relentless.
The D has rested plenty, I am so tired of that excuse. Opponents have controlled TOp in 5 of our 12 games and we have won 3 of those 5.
Thanks. Do you know why it says those rankings are estimated? That seems really weird to me. What are our defensive/st's TD's? I remember the Revis pick 6, the McKnight blocked punt, and the McKnight kick return. I also remember 2 safeties. That's only 25 points - where am I missing points?
interception, kick return vs. ravens- 14 points safety vs cowboys- 2 revis pick vs dolphins- 7 fumble return- broncos- 7 safety vs redskins- 2 thats 32 by my count
I forgot about the Harris pick 6 vs. the Ravens. That would put us at 32. What's the fumble return vs. broncos? that's 9 points unaccounted for right now
looking at the box score, they give us a non-offensive touchdown for that fumble by bilal powell that slauson picked up in the endzone. either nfl.com is wrong or theres some technicality that makes that non-offensive.
