I was at the game so I thought it was a leg injury, then I apologize if its not. I thought it was because they don't announce those things at the game.
Got ya, I was watching at home so got to see mutiple replays of it and hear later coments. Its a knee ligemtn thing. Looks an awful lot like a ACL/MCL tear issue with the way he was twisted around on it. As a guy whos gone through it I winced like hell. Not fun.
SO....moving on... where dose this put us? Poole and E.Smith as the starters and Cole comeing in when we go with 3 S Maybe Wilson gets a look? We could be seeing lots more of D. Strick!
The same thing any team does, play our others like pool more, a Special teamss player may get a few snaps, sign a guy of the PS. ... or we can go the Belichick route and teach McKnight or Kerley to play some DB hehe.
I'm with ya on this one as well, I thought the kid had potential as a good ball hawking guy at Saftey.
POOL and SMITH did fine last year. Tracy Wilson and Emanuel Cook might lend some support too. So many guys are ready to give up already when we have not yet begun to fight. I am more concerned with our offense being able to sustain the momentum then I am about our safties. I think in the long run we will be fine!
It's not too far fetched actually. McKnight used to play scout team d as a corner at USC. I'm sure he can play a little safety if we get desperate.
Leonard will make a great coach for the NYJ. We should hire him as a player/assistant secondary coach in 2012. He can mentor the stud we pick up in the draft, and we should pick up a stud free agent as well.
^^^Me too. Cook isn't with the team anymore so we are pretty thin. KcKnight has already played defensive snaps at DB during this season but becoming the safety is a long step away. There was an article a month or so back about how Pool was studying and can make the calls Leonhard was making as the defensive QB. We should be fine from a playcalling perspective.
ugggh....... dampens a good win. Didn't like the Lowery trade at the time..... liked it less watching him make plays for JAX... really don't like it now. :shit:
Eric Smith has been a full time player since about this time last year. The only thing that changes is that Pool now becomes a full time player again.
