Judging by Rex's comments, he is out big time. Hopefully Ellis can step it up!

I saw Ellis on his ass alot against the skins... he plays to up right!! He's too easy to move. He needs to work on his technique..

We won't win this week without DeVito.

DeVito's absence against Washington was the obvious reason for the early lapses stopping the running game. Which is why I give the defensive CS credit for making adjustments, which in turn seemed to revolve around making good use of Dixon, who had a very good game. Ellis, not so much.

We all want Ellis to be great, but imo he's not there yet. I wonder if he gets the start again with DeVito likely out.

I just hope he is 100% the following week against Philly with McCoy and Vick.

Everyone got their taste of Ellis, he is not even close to Devito right now.

Hopefully he steps up or Dixon is ready to play at a high level again.

I don't think Devito could get a finger on McCoy or Vick.

Hope he's back next week and our LB's also come ready to play with McCoy.....he bounces inside and out and it's gonna be a tough guy to take out. Maybe if he scores this week the jets can stop him from scoring in his first game this year.

This was one of the big impressions I took from watching his highlight videos prior to the season. He was playing against a lot of lower level competition in those highlights and so he won a lot of battles on raw physical size. When he played in ... I want to say the senior bowl(?) ... he was getting stood up by guys that weren't so physically outmatched early in the game. By the end of that game though he had already corrected his technique and was staying low and making plays.

I think he just needs more experience to learn to consistently play with the technique required at this level. He's not going to be as good as DeVito right away but he has a much higher ceiling IMO. DeVito missing a few games isn't the end of the world.

If he is definately out for this game, it is very unlikely he will be 100% for the Philly game.

I think the d-line did a solid job without Devito last week minus the opening drive. After that they did a good job of limiting Helu in the run game. They should be fine without him again this week against KC.

Spot on with this. He's a young guy that needs work, but has the raw physicla tools to be good. Its up to him, we know we have the coaching.
