Realistically, will we see the release of E.Smith and Mulligan this season?

I thought it looked like Keller was the one trying to talk him down. Either way, he sucks and he's gotta go.

I think Mulligan had a problem with the coach on the right of the screen. Who is he? Maybe the RB coach Lynn?

The thing is also that I don't think Mulligan is a stand-out special teamer... I mean solid yeah, but like many others in this league.

Baker did more with that kick off return than Mulligan has done all season. Every time Mulligan is on the field, it is a negative play - either a penalty or a sack. He is as horrible a player as I have seen in a Jets uniform. Promote Baker and cut Mulligan's sorry ass.

Can't see Jets bringing Mulligan back. I'm questioning if he'll even finish this season. What a disaster & I just don't get who the fuck he's mad @ on the sidelines when he's the one screwing up w/ obvious bonehead penalties.

Is it possible to just abandon sets with more than 1 TE ? At least minimize this guy's damage to the team.

Mulligan is approaching JP Machado/Adrien Clarke levels.

smith isnt getting released anytime soon as bad as he is in coverage he is still valueable as a 3rd in the box safety and special teams guy, we just need an upgrade to start over him

Smith is the only black guy in our entire secondary. He's gotta stay. I think Cro and Revis are the only white DB tandem in the NFL. And no ones sure what color Leonard will be when he grows up. We can't take a chance.

Beware ---- there are draft "experts" who declare that we cannot upgrade the safety position in the upcoming draft. At the same time, I dont see a ton of realistic options in Free Agency.
-- So according to the experts, the 4th round 2006 draft pick of Eric Smith is our only option.

He isn't going anywhere until after the season because the closest we are going to get to another TE ready to play at this point in the season is a cardboard cut out of Hartsock, which just might be better than the obelisk that Mulligan is....

But Rob Turner demolishes people instead of clicking a counter clicker as they run by.

No way Smith goes anywhere. The coaching staff loves him.
Mulligan on the other hand should be roasted like a pig at the holiday Christmas party.

Eric Smith is a great player for special teams and a good nickel/dime/monster LB, but he is such a liability in the pass game. He just signed a new deal, he isn't going anywhere.

He is a sure handed tackler for the most part though at least.
