Oh, so fans who don't share your Sanchez love are stupid. Nice contribution to the discussion.

rushing td's for qbs is a fools gold. Look at guys like vick, donovan, and vince, all of them fizzle out. cam will be the same way.

    right now sanchez > cam

in 3 years cam prolly won't even be starting...

Yeah, McNabb really fizzled out after three years or so in the league.

And Vick very much fizzled due to his style of play, which meant he was more likely to abuse dogs and get sent to jail.

No, for once jets4 made a decent point. McNabb and Vick avoided a quick downward spiral by changing their games, and learning to be better pocket passers.

It's not that difficult a concept - if you run a lot as a Qb, you're going to get hammered, and eventually injured. Meanwhile it takes more time for a Qb to develop to the higher levels in the NFL, while RB's have much shorter careers.

If you want a short career as an NFL Qb, run the ball too often.

I know Philly fans are down on Andy Reid right now, but Vick going there was a good move for him, and you could see real changes in his game. He still takes off now and then, but imo he's doing that too much. Seems I recall his out with an injury, right? But overall, Vick is effective and will likely last longer if he spends even more time in the pocket.

McNabb, who ftr I am not a huge fan of, obviously became more of a pocket passer.

... i personally was looking for a 5-10% improvement in his stats across the board ... that is where he's trending ... i'm happy enough if that continues for the next 10-12 years ...
