Sluggo route. BEAUTIFUL Call. Holmes runs slant routes 90% of the time so the DB bit hard. And Sanchez only has to make one read. He made a great throw. Excellent catch by Holmes. Great play all around.

Nobody said he can't hit a wide open receiver. It's the small windows that Chez has problems with.

Greene didn't do shyt to alleviate any concerns. So what he broke a garbage time run for a score. Brought his average to a whopping 4 ypc after needing a 25 yarder to get there. You're blinded by the score and trying to sidestep the obvious facts in that we're an offense that does not scare anybody in either the run or the pass. And you don't get to, let alone win, the Super Bowl with an offense like ours.

No, you are wrong again. They were not garbage times runs. They were runs when Redskins were trying their best to get the ball back. And every 100 yard rusher will most likely have a 20+ yard run in most cases. I don't know of any runner that gets to 4 YPC and doesn't have a run longer than 5. If I were you, I would log off for today.

Yeah no need to hate on Greene. He's all good, played hard with the rib problem.

Good point, since it's been an issue all season the best thing to do was to create an articulate and well thought out thread like this one.

So you're telling us we're blinded by facts and sidestepping an opinion? You can't just admit that the offense stepped up?

Green ran hard today, and this is the time of the year where his running style pays off. Guarantee he is going to get better and better, just like the last two years.

But don't be fooled by the final score, our offense looked like hot garbage for 53 minutes.

Listen, good win today and a win is a win. Yet, let's face it the Redskins are not the Packers, hell they are not even the Dolphins....

I have watched this team for over 40 years, and this offense is flawed, and as much as I like him, Mark Sanchez is the biggest flaw and unless he improves greatly very soon you will all know that this kid will never and I mean never lead us to the promise land..

Sad to say, he just keeps doing the same dumb things over and over, and every now and them throw in a really good play on his part. Yet, like it or not, that formula needs to be the other way around for him to be a great QB......

    Dude..

Sanchez took a little bit to get in a rhythm, it happens. He played fine, and lead this team to another win. That is all you can ask for.

7-5. Sanchez played well today. Took care of the ball, and made some nice plays moving around in the pocket. But he is not as good as Aaron Rodgers.

And the Jets aren't the Jets. We're not the same team in the post-season as in the regular season, not the same team in the 4th quarter, or when the defense is playing well, etc. We've been inconsistent overall; sometimes clutch, sometimes not.

    What?

I agree that Mark should make more good plays than bad plays. But isn't that exactly what he did this game? In a game where he struggled with control - I can't wait for the day when people can just shrug and say "Mark had a bad game" and leave it at that - he had no picks, a TD pass, and a 4th quarter come-back. Not great, but good enough.

As always, there are Rodgers, Brees, and Brady, and then there's everyone else. The idea that Sanchez is so far below average in a league where Michael Vick, Tavaris Jackson, Joe Flacco, Colt McCoy, Matt Hasselbeck, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Matt Cassel, Matt Moore, Carson Palmer, Josh Freeman, Rex Grossman, Tim Tebow, Tony Romo, Kevin Kolb, Sam Bradford, Alex Smith, and Blaine Gabbert are starters (and other QBs are injured or are like Philip Rivers and having amazingly bad years) is ridiculous. Is Sanchez better than all of those guys? Probably not. But are all of them better than him? Of course not.

Good enough is, NEVER good enough ,in the NFL......

Too often Mark is focusing on one receiver, throwing wide open receivers too high or too low, getting happy feet instead of just simple stepping up into the pocket, and is too quick to panic under soft pressure....

Now you may not agree, yet I believe time will bear me out and unless Mark can overcome these serious flaws, he will not be the long term answer at QB for the NY Jets

can't bitch about a team 1/4 way thru the game...at times they played like shit, and at times they played great...enjoy the freaking victory, instead of bitching n moaning about every single god damn freaking play cal
