    So what happened to the other LBs who had DB help also? Maybin is the Jets best pashrusher during REX time period.

    plus side is that he can improve, he has the desire to play which is all important and some great burst of speed and pursuit. A off season in our program could push him on further. I dont think he will ever be an elite pass rusher but he could be a 10-12 sack a season man, if we could add a yount pass rusher in the draft to break from the opposite side it could make a real difference to our D next season.

    And, he's slowing developing other moves. I'm really happy for this kid, I hope he continues to develop and help the defense.

    Maybin is very solid at getting coverage sacks. That is a very valuable player. He may not bust up a line for penetration, but he'll get there if the secondary gets him a few extra seconds. I'm really liking him.

    His strip sack today was NOT a coverage sack...he bull rushed first then took a hard inside juke right into Grossman. He did a good job of swatting the lineman's hands away when he juked. He had Grossman planted in about 2 seconds from the snap.

    Its good that he is showing some skills to shed the blockers, and all this in a short season with us. Im sure he can pick up some more.

    I'm surprised that people aren't picking up on this. He is a far better pass rusher than he was earlier in the season, and that strip sack was a thing of beauty.
