Jimmy, question: which are you better at? Punt Returning or Safety? answer: neither If we had a choice of which hobbit we should have kept it would be Woodhead. Boohoo, somebody booed. Get over it.
JL was absolutely right. I have never been much of a Sanchez lover, in fact, I was ripped to shreds regarding my comments about our QB in this foum when he was drafted and in his first year. What some posters did not understand is although I didn't like the draft pick, he was, is and will remain our QB, so I set aside my negative opinions, and rooted for him... like any real Jets fan should. Booing him at the start of a game? Fuck any of you who did it. He is our QB. This is OUR team. You want to boo after he throws 3 picks, fine, but at the start of a game? Fuckin Seattle has Tavaris Jackson and they never booed him at the start of a game. They also has perhaps the most significant home field advantage in the NFL. Sanchez is the Jets' QB. Support the kid. He's not going anywhere soon. I still have serious doubts about Sanchez, but I would NEVER boo him at the start of a home game. Leonard is right. We Jets fans betrayed our own team by booing. Jets fans can really be a bunch of idiots. If you call yourself a Jets fan, act like one.
That post was a thing of beauty man. Seriously, Seattles fans beat the shit out of a home Jets crowd...and they have sucked way worse than us for a long time...and still suck. Yet, you will never hear the 12th man shit on their QB or team in intros. We have a bunch of idiots posing as Jets fans in our stadium.
Good post. Still, I can't believe this story has blown up the way it has. I was at the game. I really don't remember people booing. Were people as supportive as they were for Mangold/Holmes/others? No. But I didn't really hear booing. Anyone who did boo is an idiot.
If you want to play in New York, and perform the way Sanchez has, expect it. Hey Jimmy have you seen Tebow?
any fan reacting strongly against Leonhard are definitely a guilty party. got called out by a player for being a SOJF. deal with it.
This was my blog entry on this subject. So the Jets, namely Jim Leonard, are mad that Mark Sanchez was being booed last Sunday before the game? Well Boo-hoo Brandon Jaco...I mean Jim Leonard, Boo-hoo. Should Sanchez be getting booed before he even steps on the field...eh, well maybe. I wouldn't boo him, but after THAT display against Tim Tebow and the disciples I wanted to do a few more things to Mark Sanchez than just boo. It was probably built up frustration from last Thursday. Fact of the matter is these fans pay thousands of dollars a year to watch the Jets. They pay the PSLs, they pay for the vastly overpriced, and surprisingly awful, food, they pay the seat prices, and they get robbed by the pre-season tickets. This is all to see a 6-5 team that is enraging to watch on Offense. In fact, I'm fairly sure at least half those boos were targeting Brain Schottenheimer, but since they don't introduce coaches he dodges that heat. Fans have the right to boo, they pay to watch their team play WELL, not to lose 17-13 to the Golden Child and has band of merry followers, or lay an egg on national television against their most hated rival, which, for the record, I was at and I was booing...loudly. Don't bite the hand that feeds you Jimmy, focus on doing your job. If Derek Jeter and Mariano Rivera can get booed(which they have been) then Mark "oops that pass was too low" Sanchez sure as hell can too.
Agreed. What these players forget is that they are playing for the fans. You want the fans to stop booing? Improve your play.
Hope that made you feel better. After forty two years Jets fans have the right to boo whomever they choose. Just maybe, if you had been through those forty two years, you might have a clue.
