anyone else think that the writers might be trying to nudge Shane in the direction of being their version of the governor?

 

I didn't see that comming.
It was cool with the camera view lowering as if a little walker is last

 

I saw a little Sportscenter tonight, they were talking about Larry Coyer, the defensive coordinator of the Colts, getting fired. A question was asked, would Jim Caldwell lose his job soon, and I thought "He's probably the next one out of the barn"

I wonder if that kind of thing could catch on? :lol:

One dead kid doesn't make up for a whole half season of nonsense. Their biggest problem is that the writers seem intent on making their one interesting character crazy/a villian. Carl definitely has the highest awfulness:screen time ratio but Dale and Herschel are up there too.

 

So you're saying they're going to ruin the Governor too?

 

No, I still think they will have Carl shoot Shane like in the comics (not a spoiler since someone already mentioned this earlier in the thread). They are just dragging it out, instead of having it happen early on like in the comic. Just to increase the awe factor and really paint Shane as a douchebag.

The governor character can take a whole season by himself. They are just holding off introducing him, IMO.

 

the show's writing is so up and down, who knows what the hell they're thinking anymore

 

Reading some clifnotes of what the comic offeres this show is going no where but up after they leave the farm.

 

Anyone else notice that the farmer's daughter has a big ass?

Believe me, she's still smokin', but has a bit of the pear-shape thing going on.

She was hot on Supernatural (Bela) and then porked out a bit on Chuck (Vivian). Looks like she is slimming back down. A zombie apocalypse will do that to you.

 

Half the things he suggests are things that happen in the comics, yet he paints the readers of the comics as big defenders of the current state of the show.

 

was pretty crappy and repetitive half season. still better than Lost.

i echo the sentiments in this thread.

in my opinion this show would be better if they focused more on isolating characters (Daryl's spiritual trip, Rick the first few episodes of the season)

They could eliminate 3/4ths of the characters and make the show better. Each episode should focus on some philosophical theme each episode. i know it's based on a comic book, but i think the show would be cooler this way.
