Got to believe it's one and done there. He is absolutely no factor in their offense. That being said, I'm for going in a new direction next year. Give me Robert Meachem from the Saints. He's a deep threat that would open up the middle of the field for Holmes, Keller and Kersey.
I'm just saying that if you're able to write and post a new thread, you should be able to read in which forum to post it.
I agree. Every now and then though people make mistakes and this might be one of those times. Let a mod know via PM and let them take care of it.
I wouldnt mind seeing Braylon back on the Jets to be honest. He and Sanchez had good chemistry going. I dont know what a year away would do to that chemistry but it wouldnt be a terrible decision to bring him back.
Braylon seemed to find a cure for his droppsies when he played for us but last week he dropped 3 in a row, including one for a TD. The announcers were all over him for having stone hands.
NO to Braylon, and NO to Meachem unless you want Meachem in the slot to replace Kerley. We need a legit #1/#2 receiver and I think that needs to come via draft.
It's not his play....It's the fact that the Jets aren't going to bring him back. There were hush hush issues that are indicated by the fact that the Jets didn't even try to pursue him and not one player stood up for him. In fact they all backed up Holmes... It's an off the field thing. On the field Braylon was good for us. But we can find someone else to do the job he did.
I am praying that he does come back. Lets just hope our FO offers him something to come back. Flight boys part 2?
The Jets offense is definitely missing the presence of Edwards this year. Our deep ball has pretty much disappeared. Braylon was a big piece of the puzzle over here, and while Plax has done decent for the money we gave him, he's no Edwards. Edwards and Sanchez had chemistry and executed the deep ball pretty well last year. Holmes should be capable, but 2 deep threats are better than 1. I guess it also helps to have an oline that can protect for more than 2 seconds.
The last sentence should have been the first one. Without blocking there is never a deep threat no matter what QB/recievers are on the field.
this might work out. both parties seem to miss each other and i think the jets can come up with more money than any other team is willing to offer just based on their history. Braylon should also be humbled by the fact he took such a negligible contract, and hasn't performed in this new system. the fact alex smith can't stretch the field has a lot to do with that. not a good combination there. plax would have been better for that team actually lol.
Or Sanchez is a better QB for Braylon than Alex Smith is. Anyway, I don't see Braylon coming back here. I'd certainly take him back, but they shouldn't have let him walk in the first place. I think we go after a similar player in the draft.
