    absolutely....however when we see quick timing routes with all receivers running short of the first down, that is not on the playcall?

    Confirmed ESPNNY report that #Jets extended Schotty's contract through at least 2012. Was also told the same goes for Mike Pettine.

    The extensions for Schotty and Mike Pettine, by the way, were both done months ago back in the offseason

    Thats great news. Another year of inept play-calling. Maybe Woody can give him a lifetime contract next. No coach in the NFL deserves it more...

    Why put pressure on arguably the worst OC in the the NFL to up his game by forcing him to play for a new contract, just keep extending him..

    He got the extension coming off a berth in the AFC Championship, so I'm not surprised they gave him an extension....having said that, he can still be fired. I'm sure Tanny wouldn't have offered a contract if he knew the offense was going to nose dive this year.
