Miami gives it to Dallas at the 4 yard line.

Dallas to take the lead before halftime.

I didn't watch this either. Iglesias is a homo.

Halftime shows usually suck, I agree. The Super Bowl ones always suck.

That doesn't mean Nickelback is any good.

Jets fans are so spoiled in terms of cornerback play. Revis is of course about 20 times better than everyone else, and Cromartie and Wilson are better than at least 90% of what is out there. It's amazing how often you see cornerbacks with their backs to the ball as the pass arrives.

It's very rare to see any band come off well during halftime at a football game.

The staging and sound doesn't work for music, and the captive audience is basically indifferent.

They should just bring back the frisbee dogs and Punk Pass and Kick competitions. This game is in Texas- a live electric chair execution event would probably go over big.

I find it hard to get energetic either way about fairly generic AOR. I don't understand what makes Nickelback so unpopular with some people.

Because they are the most horribly simplestic generic pop rock group to come out and stay popular in a long time. There is really nothing artistic to it, nothing original. It lacks in just about every way. Sure they wirte a nice pop tune that your average 14yo girl to 40 year old woman loves, but they scream of just trying to sell records and not do any thing else. To me they come off as this generations REO Speedwagon with less song writing ability.

Well, I wouldn't argue with that, but the fact that it's written to a formula is the very reason why I don't understand why anyone would get so upset with it - it sounds like so many other bands and songs you've heard before, unless you hate vast swathes of musical genres it doesn't bear any logical scrutiny.

Fact is people claim to hate Nickelback because they've been told to. They actually aren't doing anything sufficiently noteworthy to engender such a strong emotion.

In other news, the Dallas - Miami game is pretty good.

Dolphins drop to 3-8, Cowboys improve to 7-4, but both are pretty equal i'd say. This is good for the Jets though. Hopefully by Week 17 Miami will have mailed it in. They are playing good right now.

He needs a year with Rex Grossman as his starting QB to prove that he's the new Don Shula.

I thought that when Dallas took the 17-16 lead. Whats the difference between 17-16 or 17-15 if Miami missed the 2 point conversion?

Everyone get your shots ready. Mike Maycock drinking game. Every time he screws something up, take a shot.

Maybe he'll call Ray Rice "Glen Rice" or think teams have more challenges than they actually do.

Stafford has actually shown he can completely take over a game though, he has thrown for 5 TDs in a game a couple of times in his career.
