All the conjecture aside, this team obviously needs a leader. Ray Lewis or Brian Urlacher would slap some sense into everybody.
I agree .... That is not a small part ... That pick six is incomplete if Plax even makes a half hearted attempt to break it up instead of throwing his arms up ... This is not the first time the and Tone have done that, just give minimum effort ... Hell it seems the defenders know when they are not going to be involved, they just don't seem to even try to sell thier part in the play if they are not going to be the target ....
Not sure how he's supposed to break up a play happening 2 to 3 yards away from him. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKlQKsN78v8&feature=related Jump to 2:39 to see it. He's not even close to him as he juggles the ball.
Great job. You basically killed his thread off. There as no way Plax, whose momentum was going in the opposite direction could have interefered with that pick or caught him. The route was jumped clean.
Plax seemed to freeze up like one of those "OH FUCK" moments where you don't know what to do with yourself for a second and then reacted.
Thanks... The sad thing is, if you watch closely, both Plax and Holmes are running the 5 yard curl on that play, both routes would have been jumped badly becasue the D was playing soft and jumping up. this is happening because our offense includes 5 yard curls and 5 yard slants on empty sets 99% of the time. Hell if I know whats going on from my seat at home, you know the defense is licking its chops to play against us. This scheme is a mess.
Exactly. Not to mention that it was the forth pass in a row that went to Plax. And McKnight had beaten his man down the sideline on the wheel route. So predictable. It's pathetic.
Hired isn't a word you use in football with players. Do you mean Riley, Kerley, Turner, Campbell? Which one passed the interview?
I was assuming he was referring to Riley. I thought we might see him a little bit on Thursday being that we were playing his former team, but I guess he didn't warrant any PT yet and Turner got the reps. I thought Turner did a decent job all things considered.
sry, i just use hired so much to discuss soccer that i forgot but im pretty sure its this riley guy yeah turner played fine also
I have to say that I have been quietly and frustratingly noticing the same thing. I've not been a Shotty hater, but it's obvious he doesn't trust Sanchez, therefore the handcuffs get placed. Look at how fluidly he plays when coming out of the pcket, and the strides he's made from rookie year. We know he's ambitios about studying, WANTS to play, and doesn't complain, stating almost all the time thet the blame starts with him. I don't believe the guy has REGRESSED over the past 3 years, it just doesn't make sense. There is turmoil, grumblings behing closed doors. As far as I'm concerned the window of opportunity for a Superbowl appearance closed last year. Hope I'm wrong.:sad:hmy:
Didn't I tell you this in other thread? He signaled to Sanchez, after the end of play (1 play before the INT) - specifically to "THROW OVER THE SHOULDER." The next play, instead of throwing over the coverage, Mark throws straight into the coverage. But then, in both throws, I think the route must have been some kind of curl or comeback - and the defense knew it both times, since the DB was undercutting Plax on both cases, meaning he was not concerned with being burned deep over the top.
This is the least talented team Sanchez has played on since he's been here. If they can fix the OL, freshen up the D and get a deep threat at WR we're right back in it.
