......ROLLING SANCHEZ OUT ON PASS PLAYS? He is one of the most athletic QB's in the league. He is not nearly as effective as a pocket quarterback. USE HIS ATHLETICISM!!!! Sanchez passes much more effectively on the run. We are not taking advantage of one of the best skills he has....HIS ABILITY TO RUN AND ROLL OUT. Get him the hell out of the pocket that is crumbling around him on every pass play. ROLL HIM OUT!!! This will create many more options for him...and it will give him the time he needs to make a throw.
I actually agree with this, I think sanchez is more effective outside the pocket, but Schotty never allows him to do this.
Why is there only like 1 pass over 30 yards? Why does he sacked 4-5 times a game? Why can't the receivers get open? Why does 3 man rush still get in? Why are we 5-5? Why am I even here?
Schotty knows what's best for his young developing QB. If he doesn't stay inside the tackles the boogeyman will get him.
What the FUCK are you talking about about ? There are tons of reasons why the team is 5-5, but what is written on a message board is DEFINITELY not one of them :rofl2: :breakdance:
You are under the false impression that your opinion matters or can change the Jests offensive playcalling. Let me know when your thread on this forum gets to Schotty and helps him overcome his incompetence so I can make sure to remember you are the hero of the Jets offense.
We're talking schotty...a guy who wants his system in place no matter what. Not John Fox who trashed his playbook to fit Tebow
I seriously doubt that they meant that the opinion of a member of TGG had an impact on the offensive philosophy, but instead is consistent with the philosophy of the Jets offense.
THIS!!! When you're the OC of a unit that is well known to have one of the worst pass blocking offensive lines in the league, HOW CAN YOU NOT BASE YOUR OFFENSE AROUND THE SCREEN!!!
I agree. I forgot what game it was, maybe the Raiders game? But he'd roll out, and he seems like he has a surprisingly good ability to run the ball when he needs to AND throw out the pocket. Honestly, this guy seems like he seems to THRIVE when he has to think off his feet. There are so many occasions between last year and when he's under pressure, where he just shines. And that's exactly the reason why I think it's the offensive scheme, not him individually. How many times have we seen him evade two linebackers and make a great throw? or two minute drills when he has to think for himself and just solely rely on his instinct? It's the only reason I haven't given up hope for him.
Al Dorow is the heart and soul of the new TGG. Anyone who disagrees doesn't know football messageboards.
They actually did try rolling him out a couple of times in the game and it didn't work. There was either a defender in his face or no one got open. The fact that our #5 overall pick franchise qb isn't "nearly as effective in the pocket", y'know that area where quarterbacks usually throw the ball from, is amusing.
