1) I've never advocated getting rid of Sanchez, but there are plenty of QBs not named Brady or Rodgers who are better than him. 2) I don't think that expecting Sanchez not to hand deliver a pick-6 to Denver with the team clinging to a 7 point lead is unrealistic. Again, the fact that there are lots of mediocre QBs in the league doesn't mean that we don't need Sanchez to play better. Our defense and running game aren't nearly as good as last year; if he doesn't stop with the boneheaded mistakes and elevate his play then we aren't going anywhere. At the end of the day, that's all that's important.

I don't think Sanchez is the root of all evil nor am I in support of replacing Sanchez. But think about this. The offense got the ball at the end of second quarter last game with a minute to go, and 2 time outs. The offense had the ball at 20 yard line, but with 2 time outs and 1 full minute, how do you explain coming out with NOTHING? March down 50 yards, and you have 47 yard FG right there. Is that an inconsistency issue? HELL FUCKING NO. Some QBs could produce TD out of that situation. Not with this offense.

1) Off the top of my head? Rodgers, Brady, Brees, both Mannings, Roethlisberger, Schaub, Romo, Rivers, and Vick. Plus you can make an argument for guys like Ryan, Cutler, Newton, and Stafford (though I don't think any of those guys are significantly better or worse than Sanchez.) Sanchez is roughly a league average QB in my opinion. 2) Yes, Romo and Rivers are both better than Sanchez (although Rivers is having an absolutely awful season.) 3) Yes, all 4 of the QBs that you mentioned are mediocre as well. Again, for the 3rd time now, just because there are a lot of mediocre QBs in football doesn't mean that the Jets should accept mediocrity from Sanchez. This is a QB driven league, and unless you get stellar play from your QB you are fighting a huge uphill battle to make it to the playoffs and win games once you're there. I don't care if Flacco, Ryan, Freeman, and many other of Sanchez's peers make bad plays as well. That doesn't do anything to change the fact that Sanchez has to play better if we're going to have any chance of being a real contender.
