Firing an offensive coordinator mid-season is stupid. Who would replace Schotty now? Hopefully you don't mean the OL coach who helped assure the Jets front office that they enough talent to get things done & also still trying to turn around Vlad & also had nobody prepared to call plays on the Line when Mangold was out. For better or worst, the Jets need to finish the season with the coaching staff they entered the season with & firing Schotty is just showing panic. Different offensive system can't be installed in one week. These kind of changes require an off-season.
If Schotty were to be fired it would have been within the past couple days with an extended week. He's 100% here for the rest of the season now.
Rex's entire philosophy is about loyalty. It's a reason his players love him so much. If he got rid of Schotty there would be trust issues
Bullshit. He might have a say in the sense if Mike T wanted to fire him he would go to Rex first but theres no way Rex could just say you''re fired to someone.
