My question is how any Jets fan can defend him, being outplayed by Brady is one thing but by Tim fuckn Tebow or a 3rd string injury plaged Patriots defense come fuckn on? Being called "stupid" by your coach doesn't help either. Also can anyone else say if the Jets had a decent backup right now he wouldn't be playing right now next game? Tanny has failed us! Mark Brunell as our insurance policy are you fuckn kidding me?
Yes...a smart but experienced QB can succeed. Sanchez has been under Schotty's control from day one. We have a QB who came out of college as a one year starter. His lack of experience is showing and that's what coaching and having an OC who knows how to handle an inexperienced QB is all about. Schotty is not and will never be a good OC. He lacks the skill and playcalling ability. He either refuses or can't make adjustments when his gameplan fails. It's the same playcalling game after game. Before I give up on Sanchez I want to see what he does with someone else calling the plays.
Pick Six Sanchez has to share a lot of the blame, but yes, Schotty is awful at his job. I wouldn't last a month at my job with that level of performance. Then again, I'm not blowing the general manager.
How was he outplayed by Tebow? He wasn't on the field when Tebow marched the Broncos 95 yards for the winning TD. That ones on the Defense. He threw the pick 6...Yes...that's on him....but a little help by Burress by blocking out the CB and the pass would've been completed. The problem with Sanchez is he gets a little rattled after being pounded all game long....but who wouldn't. Even Tom Brady has shitty games when he sacked, rushed and pounded on....all QB do. And as far as Brunnell.....he there to be a mentor to sanchez and not an insurance policy....he just collecting a check. I definitely want them to bring in a viable #2 Qb next year or maybe McElroy can be a factor.
10 games above .500 right now would be 10-0...unless you're talking about over the course of a season, which would be 13-3. You're saying ANY other QB in the league would take this team to 13-3? You can't possibly be serious.
forgot about that...good point...so schottenheimer's ineptitude predates his tenure with the Jets. I'm not sure if that makes me feel better or worse.
He meant career, which was part of my Sanchez defense. I don't remember what it is exactly, somewhere 7-12 game over .500 right? Playoffs included
I love Rex, but Rex has shown he doesn't want shit to do with the offense. That's why he's kept Schottenheimer on board for this long. Rex needs to step up and become a coach. It's time to make hard coaching decisions Rex. It's time to have a complete football team.
Time to dump Shotty. Get a new OC, and let's see if Sanchez improves. If not it's time to cut our ties, and move on.
I have been aboard all along, funny people don't see that as long as shotty is oc the Jets will never ever see the big dance
Let Sanchez play out contract while seeing if he'll re-nego his monster contract... Fire the OC please Rex its time to move on
Great article overall but this stuck out the most to me: http://www.ganggreennation.com/2011/11/18/2571902/mark-sanchez-needs-a-new-teacher What the fuck is he trying to do to the kid???
I'd be scared shitless too if my offensive line sucked as much as our does. That's the point of trying to sack the QB to instill fear in him so he throws scared or earlier than he should.
To be fair, part of this is due to Gary Peyton also; however, I also think this is a very telling point.
Not only does Schottenheimer need to be fired into the sun, his bloodline needs to be ended like Hitler's, so this will never happen again.
I commend you for your pro trolling. You have a name that states exactly what your up to and people are playing right along. Its truely a thing of beauty to watch.
Not my intention, I have bled the green for the past 30 years of my life, but we have a Qb and oc thats holding us back and we as fans need to make statements. If Sanchez was playing good and living up to the hype Id be his biggest fan. I almost broke my tv when he threw that pick 6.
No one is defending his play this season. That's what you don't understand. There's a world of difference between thinking he's playing well and trying to condone his release. And no, he wouldn't be benched for his backup either.
