I got to it by going to the root link first: http://www.thejetsblog.com and then clicking on a link for the "Ultimate Camp Report". It's the 2nd blog note down.

    Hope that helps.

Yeah but its kind of funny that they are hotlinking protecting it after having no orginal content.

If he's actually taken some of the reports that you guys spent time writing without giving you credit, that's kinda fucked up. If you notice this about your writing you should send him an email.

That was a good read. It looks like we are going to have a solid O-line this year. Also Rhodes looks like he isn't going to slump this year.

There were a few things that sounded familiar, but after you read enough everything starts to sound repetitive. I agree though, if you are going to copy someone, you have to give the credit.

That Adrian Jones comment about "Very Impressive or Very Mediocre" sounded like it came right off of this board

    EDIT: found it...

Yeah, this guy has taken a bunch of individual's TC reports and consolidated them. Pretty good report though.

I got a PM from the author of the report. He is apparently having some difficulty posting here, so asked me to convey his thoughts.

Yes, he did compile this report from blogs, message boards and published media. Perhaps one could argue he should have been more careful in supplying credits, but apparently there is a statement there that explains it's a compilation (this fella actually lives in England). From my impression, his sources were so widely varied, credits would have been difficult to actually list.

It appears he used some of my stuff too, but I don't have a problem with that. Interspersed throughout his report, he does say that there are some players who have had few camp reports done on them.... a clear admission that his compilation was not an original.

I'd cut him some slack, as this is a pretty solid overall look at Jets camp and consensus impressions of same. he did a good job of it, and it's not like he is working for the Boston Globe or NY Times. (two papers with plalagurism issues). In fact, I applaude his effort here.... that had to take a long time rto put together.

If we were pro writers.... different issue. I would like to see him credit the message boards he culled from though.... that would be the right thing to do here, me thinks.

    Hey everyone.

I recognize that he lifted some observations of mine that I wrote in reports on JetNation.

I really dont have a problem with it, but if he hasnt even gone to TC he should have mentioned where he was getting the info from. No big deal.
He did a nice job compiling the info.

Yeah, that's right. Instead of doing some parenting of your own, it's easier to put the responsibility on others. It's inevitable that your child will be exposed to foul language, sex, drugs, and violence. The burden is on you to monitor your child and make sure he/she knows right from wrong, instead of just trying to keep them in the dark forever.

Back on topic. Although I don't really care that the author didn't give specific credit, it does make me curious as to where he acquired his information. Some sources are better and more reliable than others.
