In order of severity IMO. maybe not yours 1. PASS RUSH- zippo 2. O-LINE- pass protection major issue 3. O.C.- playcalling is inconsistent; and lack of ability to adjust gameplan 4. SAFETY PLAY- these guys are as good as tits on a bull...bravo that Jim can "call the D plays" but him and smith might as well stand 60 yds from the ball with signs that say "if u can read this we are too close". 5. QB- Sanchez is a good qb; but he needs balance with the run; he is NOT the major problem 6. DRAFT PHILOSOPHY- sux ; we need picks and NOT projects its killing the team
What are you talking about? How does our draft philosophy suck? We are picking at the end of the first round consistently. To get two players in Kyle Wilson Mo Wilk they have talent. The past 3 years we have drafted Sanchez, Slauson, Greene, McKnight, Wilson, Wilkerson and Kerley who are all starting to for the team.
1. totally agree and the pass rush by committee doesn't cut it anymore. 2. the right side has been dissapointing to say the least. 3. what can u say. our version of "marty ball" 4. i think the safety play has been ok but has stood out negatively due to #1 5. well i think in year 3 MS should be "carrying" the offense more but it stills looks like the offense is carrying him. 6. its a crapshoot and all u have to do is look at the pats - multiple picks and a very questionable D - except against the jets
Im sorry but we will never win a superbowl with Sanchez at Qb. heres why: 1. For years he has benefited from our great defenses and our great offensive line, when we play a good team and he gets sacked a couple of times and hurried he immediately becomes rattled and starts forcing things and rushing his throws. He is not a mentally fit quarterback. You can see in his eyes after teams put pressure on him he plays scared. Put him on the Bears and he is the worst quarterback in the league. Without Mangold he was clearly exposed. Seems like he never even tries to evade a pass rush he just goes down like a little scared bitch or throws a stupid interception. 2. He is not a smart quartberack, 3rd year on the same team with the same scheme and he is still wearing the plays on his wrist? Maybe you should be memorizing the plays in your spare time instead of going around and hooking up with 17 year olds? The timeout at the end of the half was as Rex said "the stupidest thing he ever saw". 3. You can blame Schotty all you want, but a great quarterback doesn't even need a coach he sees the pass defense and audibles the plays against it. Peyton and Brady done it for years. 4. Its one thing when you have crappy receivers but last year he had Santonio and Braylon, and Keller 3 arguabally pro bowl players. Favre did better with crap until he got injured and started his drama queen antics. 75.3 rating with Braylon Edwards and Santonio holmes? 5. How the fuck do you blame and the expect the defense to be good when sanchez makes 3 errand throws in a row and we go 3 and out 4 times in a row and get no rest? In conclusion the defense can't get a stop against good teams on every drive therefore the Jets will never win a superbowl with Sanchez as he is a liability against good teams not a assett. He may have 1 or 2 good games in the playoffs but when then a team takes him out of the game and he sucks. What a waste of a 6th pick. In a couple years we will be moving on from this bust.
My problem list 1. Inconsistency 2. Stupid playcalling 3. Eric Smith sucks That was not the New York Jets last night.
Pretty much agree with everything, but just wait till the Sanchez apologists read this and reference he's an above average QB in the playoffs or its Schotty's fault! It's a damn shame we all have to watch this guy play for a few more years till everyone see's he's garbage.
Also he was drafted and being paid like a top qb and he is clearly not. He is "average" at best. probally #20 in the league even Matt Moore is playing better then him Matt fucking Moore are you kidding me? Guy learned the Dolphins offense in 6 games while Sanchez can't learn it in 3 years? Cam Newton and Dalton learned their offenses in their rookie years, while Sanchez still hasn't in 3 years? Brady was good his 1st year, I am tired of people saying well its only his 1st year its only his 2nd year its only his 3rd year. Maybe he just sucks and that is being disguised by the good offensive line? Give any qb that was drafted our offensive line and I bet he plays as good as Sanchez is not better. Maybe 1 day Rex will get courage and bench Sanchez and we will see this. Last year Rex wanted to bench Sanchez numerous times does anyone else think the only reason why that didn't happen was cause he was drafted #6 and is making a gazzilion dollars?
1. For years he has benefited from our great defenses Yes, golly your right, his first two years in the league.and our great offensive line The offensive line has played fantastic this year, no excuses., when we play a good team and he gets sacked a couple of times Like when I thought he would not return in the AFC championship game after being crushed by Harrison late in the first half, came back and played well the second halfand hurried he immediately becomes rattled and starts forcing things and rushing his throws. He is not a mentally fit quarterback. You can see in his eyes after teams put pressure on him he plays scared. Put him on the Bears and he is the worst quarterback in the league. What the fuck does that mean, the Bears have one of the better onlines in the league, and certainly a top flight defense, which is what you said Sanchez benefits from Without Mangold he was clearly exposed. Yes, becuase and undrafted free agent rookie center filling in for a three time pro bowl center had nothing to do with line calls being fucked up Seems like he never even tries to evade a pass rush he just goes down like a little scared bitch or throws a stupid interception. Pure bullshit. 2. He is not a smart quartberack, 3rd year on the same team with the same scheme and he is still wearing the plays on his wrist? Like another person pointed out, I guess that makes Brady an idiot too? Maybe you should be memorizing the plays in your spare time instead of going around and hooking up with 17 year olds? The timeout at the end of the half was as Rex said "the stupidest thing he ever saw". 3. You can blame Schotty all you want, but a great quarterback doesn't even need a coach he sees the pass defense and audibles the plays against it. Peyton and Brady done it for years. Compared to two HOF QBs, got it 4. Its one thing when you have crappy receivers but last year he had Santonio and Braylon, and Keller 3 arguabally pro bowl players. Favre did better with crap until he got injured and started his drama queen antics. 75.3 rating with Braylon Edwards and Santonio holmes? No one is saying he has crappy receivers, point out where that was posted 5. How the fuck do you blame and the expect the defense to be good when sanchez makes 3 errand throws in a row and we go 3 and out 4 times in a row and get no rest? what are errand throws? In conclusion the defense can't get a stop against good teams on every drive therefore the Jets will never win a superbowl with Sanchez as he is a liability against good teams not a assett. He may have 1 or 2 good games in the playoffs but when then a team takes him out of the game and he sucks. What a waste of a 6th pick. In a couple years we will be moving on from this bust. So when a team takes Sanchez out of the game he sucks, got it
biggest jets problems? how about bandwagon fans! i knew when i came to this board this morning it would be good for laughs with all the fans jumping off the wagon and whinning. waanngggg. lol this team has holes. it's not last years team, which was our opportunity for a superbowl victory. management has missed out on drafting oline and safeties. never should have let edwards get away, especially after there were no takers for him in free agency, that was their chance to keep him cheap before san fran took him. hopefully the team makes the playoffs and thats when they are the most deadly. rex's best coaching is done in the big games when it's all on the line. when it's one and done, the jets rise to the occasion, hopefully they get another chance this year and who knows! minor rebuild in store for both sides of the ball. offense; oline depth and another big/young reciever defense; safties, pass rusher
Yeah troll my ass, more proof Sanchez sucks when is the last time you seen him make a big play(40 yard pass downfield)? Most of the big plays he makes are little dink and dunk screens that get blocks and are run for a big gain. Every time he has to throw it 30 yards he overthrows the receiver. Sanchez sucks tired of people defending him. Take away Mangold and he is garbage. How many more Redzone interceptions does he have to throw for you to realize this? You do know those kill momentum right? Please explain to me how he had a 64.7 rating vs the worst defense in the league?
You should care because when you have a great QB sitting in the pocket for 12 minutes eventually he will fine someone open no matter how good the initial coverage is. No pass rush = You getting anal raped all night.
I don't remember the last time we had a decent pass rush. It hasn't stopped us getting to the AFCCG for the last two years. No-one to pass to = no yards gained (unless you have the Tebow/Vick running game).
Stop trading up in the draft. (Freedman is as good as Sanchez.) We need a legit backup QB Little depth in the OL and DL LB's are getting old Get some safeties who can cover. Where is the pass rush? Start building for the future. We are never going to the super bowl with Sanchez. I'm starting to question Tannenbaum's abilities as a GM.
