Yeah..He can guarantee it because he can control the outcome of games... These people that "guarantee" outcomes are ignorant. NFL = a week to week league.
LaCanfora isn't an analyst. He's an "insider". He gets paid to basically weasel his way into locker rooms and build sources within NFL teams. He doesn't get paid for his opinions. Take this with a huge grain of salt.
Putting the Pats down is going to take a lot of work. It's rare to have a moment where you can definitively establish yourself as the best with a win but for the Jets in the AFC East Sunday night is that moment. If they beat the Pats they're in complete control and their play will dictate to everybody else in the division the rest of the way. If they lose, well then it was just a moment that may come again or not. The last time they had this moment was in week 13 last year and they spit the bit by getting blown out 45-3. The time before that was in week 7 2004 and they lost a tight one and lost control of the narrative for half a decade. 2008, the game they won in that situation, doesn't count because they had Brett Frankenstein at QB and Tom Brady was out. You can't change the flow by winning with a mercenary when the other guy's big gun is out.
Bart Scott said it best.. just like the players didn't pay attention to all the garbage written about them, they won't buy into this new hype because they know all the reporters don't know what the hell they're talking about. It's fun for us to read all this crap, but it won't affect the team at all. They know what's on the line this week.
Lets just hope Schotty continues on the base he built yesterday. If he calls that game, the Pats will look like the Bills at then end of the day.
Hate him or love him.......Skip Bayless. Never left the Cowboys bandwagon, adores the Pats and Tebow, and doesn't like the Jets or the Eagles.
Guys, this is just fan service. DO you think LaCanfora actually believes that? He has trolled us for about 3 years and now he's like "LOL yea the jets r good, tk it 2 da bank". Please, he's just trying to get some damn clicks. He makes sense about our schedule and the adversity but honestly this is just a shill to get our big and growing fanbase to click on the link.
Ugh, I hate when the media starts favoring us. The team seems to strive on the underdog/villain role. I think that the hate gives them extra motivation/a sense of vindication. Should they need that to win? no. But so far, it seems they perform best under those circumstances.
He's 100% sure that Jets have it locked up .... unless the Jets lose this Sunday ... then the next article is how the Jets suck and talk too much. Anyway, no matter what happens this Sunday, Jets are gonna find a way to make the playoffs.
It's one game at a time.... The Jets need to win Sunday Night. I can not look past the Patriots. Win games and the division will take care of itself. I hate articles like this.
