Well, with all due respect what would you expect him to say; "Boy this team really sucks, don't know why I bothered coming back. These bastards don't have a chance" :)

Hardly makes him a moron. Hell, it's a lot better attitude than coming to camp pissing and moaning. lol Be positive - in preseason everyone is undefeated for the regular season. :)

he coulda said something along the lines of this team is more talented than last year or previous years, but to say that its more talented than the '96 super bowl team, thats absurd...

Brett Favre is a realist and a competitor something many are not.

A realist would not claim this is the most talented team he has ever played with....NEXT!

I dont understand what you are talking about. The only thing I think your trying to do is correct my grammar. Upon further review, I should of said Should have, but guess what, I didnt. And yes, I just did it again. Ya know, Im from a little town in northern wisconsin. Yes, they teach us grammar in school, but it really does no good. I guess wisconsin people talk weird and have a weird accent if ya know what i mean. I found that out being away from wisconsin and having to socialize with people from all over the country. But I always find people who know where Im from right away, so whatever. You cant change the way someone talks. As long as you understand them, its all good. To make my point clear: Stop being a grammar bitch!:)

Shades of Testaverde calling the offense, upon the addition of Matthew Hatchette, calling the offense "a cadillac."

I remember Brett from his USM days. He was always a very calm guy and knew that his attitude effected how the team played. You can't blame the guy. No matter how poor his team is now, he still has that ring. That's more than any of our current QBs can say.

He definitely comes off bad saying that. One of the reasons why he was hesitant about returning was because he wasn't sure if the team would be any better in '06. Which means he didn't see much potential on the team. Now suddenly they're loaded with talent? More talent than your Super Bowl teams? You have to be positive, but try and be reasonable as well.

He's just trying to pump up his teammates and give them confidence. Nothing wrong with that.

Not true, the Jets were going to take Favre but Atlanta traded up to grab him just before us. Our second choice was Nagle.....
