It was more of the team we know - they've gone back to focusing on the running game.

They remembered their identity, and its paying off.

Goes both ways. Revis int was returned 64 yards to the 19 so you dont get that, you dont score any points either. Actually without that, you might not even win so that play was huge. We can play what IFs all day but why? We had many things called back by a penalty since we had 13 of them.

No need to inflate things like you did saying you should of had 34 points. It is what it is. Its not like you were close to scoring on the fumble return. You were in your own territory. It was only a 35 yard return.

Most of your 13 came on defense, while most of our penalties came on offense.

The freak play to keller than ended up as a TD to you guys, were we close to scoring right then on first down? No we werent. But we were moving the ball (all be it 11 yards down the field) but that was leaps and bounds over anything in the last 2 games. We gave you every ounce of momentum with that play.

But you are right, it turned out to be what it is. 27-21 Jets in which we dominated from an offensive standpoint moving the ball at will. With our defense stepping up when it had to.

9 of them on the defense and 3 were PI's which are big...and 1 of those was an awful call.
So 4 on offense isnt good either. Did you have 4 penalties on offense?
Thats what i said, you werent close to scoring so it isnt like you driving down for a score. It was a 35 yard return after about a 7, 8 yard pass so you were in your own territory.

We actually ran the ball pretty well in the first half with Tolbert. 2nd half we couldnt run very well and Norv kept calling long passes which i thought was stupid. Didnt use Gates like he was in the first half and didnt utilize the RB's in the short pass game much all day.

The Jets played tough in the 2nd half. No doubt and im not slighting anyone. Just think some fans here are over inflating things. We havent done much with Norv since after that first season after he took over from Marty. Just hope we get better as we go along. Rather beat you in the playoffs than the regular season so hopefully we get that chance again ;)

Today was the first time all season (maybe Jacksonville) where this team looked like a contender. We had red zone offense, we could run the ball like we could in the past, and the defense stepped up and made plays when it had to.

Great team win. It restored a lot of my faith in this team, the way we could run the ball. San Diego isn't a great defense, but we pounded them with the run. Great job by the line and by Greene.

Plus, Sanchez played well. And Plax was used the way Plax was meant to be used: as a red zone beast.

A strength was maximized, finally, by the offensive scheme for Plax.

That's all he is, a possession WR who will out jump everyone.

If they get the chemistry down for the 2nd half of the season, they'll be dangerous in the RZ and on back shoulder fades.

Geez....calm down. Plax only had like 25 yrds.

But that Kerley kid looked good.

If he had 3 yards and 3 TDs, I'd be pleased.

I'm excited about the win .... I wish we didn't have slow starts, because my heart can not take it anymore.

Something lit a fire under his ass this week. I hope he stays motivated.

I wouldn't worry too much about Burress and I never could understand why so many people were ready to write him off so quickly. The guy didn't play for over 2 years, so expecting him to come to the Jets this year with a lockout shortened training camp and be in top form and immediately be a top contributor from week 1 was completely unrealistic.
The shortened training camp has affected everyone in the league, so it only stands to reason that it would affect someone who had been -ahem- away from the game even more.
    He will be fine.
