Pouha has played outside before. Figured it would be easier for him to make the move although Ellis going against a LT is going to be annoying for McNeil. A little Wilfork/Haynesworth action if you will
I hate injuries. but Devito( If he's out ) being out might enable Ellis to perform at a high level and steal the starting job... IJS Might be a blessing to get younger legs on the field
I love how this kid can move laterally along the line and make plays. I hope he can do what DeVito can do on run defense. The Jets are going to need it. The kid has a high ceiling.
I had predicted on another forum that Ellis would be the dark horse surprise player of our 2011, but my confidence certainly faltered until last Sunday's game. Ellis and Wilkerson are going to be spoken of as premier linemen in 2013 and beyond, I am confident of that now.
Hopefully he can tribute on Westerman's side of the field as a run stopper, he could be the answer we have been looking for on D. Im optimistic
Devito missed two tackles on Green-Ellis in the Pats game. I can clearly see the contributions of Pouha and Devito on the line. All I'm saying is their lateral quickness leaves a lot to be desired. And I noticed Dixon and Ellis as an upgrade over them in that area.
^^^^^ obviously sarcastic....er, you were, yes? No bigger fan of that 3rd - round pick (my posts back then will bear that out). e.g., Hampton-Delaware St. game and the "Texas vs. Nation" all-star game: if Kenrick can ramp up his stright-up-the-middle push (a la Jenx in his prime) he will very much imho turn the Jet 3-4 back into even more of a run-stuffing, space-blitzing platform.
I really hope he didn't suffer anything serious.. not only do we need him this year for our run defense, we need him to get as much work as possible to be a force next year.
