If he is so good, why is he only ever on the practice squad of teams.

I'm sorry, I just can't get excited over a fuckn' practice squad guy. If I see him on the field and he produces then maybe.

Maybe we should ask Danny Woodhead? Austin Miles maybe?

He could be nothing but dismissing him because he has only been on a practice squad for two years is silly.

Especially for a fan base that spent a good amount of last season pouting about keeping McKnight over Woodhead.

We lack speed at receiver and this guy is a burner. He has all of the attributes you'd look for in a receiver, definitely worth a shot.

With McKnight's knee an issue and his status up in the air for Sunday, any chance this kid sniff's the field? I know his grasp of our plays (enter Schotty joke here) can't be good yet, but a guy who can catch a football is still a guy with the instincts to be able to get on the field.

if he gets on the field, it will be at the expense of Patrick Turner this week. So I dunno. Turner has been good as a blocking WR for us so far, can Riley block? If so, I guess he gets on the field sunday

We have no deep threat or any receiver with straight away speed for that matter, maybe he see some time and stretches the field for us like plax was supposed to

He has speed but the jet never used him as a deep threat, Holmes is at his best when hes catching the ball over the middle and using his speed to get YAC. A deep threat with this kids speed could cause some defenses to bring an extra safety over freeing up more space in the middle

Has the CS said anything about this kid? I saw someone asked Westy about him but nothing towards Rex or Da Kid (Schotty) unless I missed it

I agree. How anyone can come off of a 2 year prison stint and expect to contribute to a playoff calibre team is beyond me. Excited to see this new guy in action, usually when a guy gets picked up from another team's practice squad, he is legit.

Just because they don't doesn't mean they shouldn't be. Remember last year's championship game? He burned Pittsburgh deep. I don't think we try enough.

Hope this kid has something, but I don't expect to see it right away.

I agree with you, they should really try anything at this point. Holmes is a versatile WR would love to see him go deep more often , cause Plax just ain't cuttin it

I "sware" that your own post tends to prove it so
