Just go to YT search for how to do the Rubiks Cube & you will get whatever tips you are looking for
This line is young. They will be nasty next season! Face it, Rex rolled the dice going with youth this season.
Pretty excited about our two lineman we drafted. Ellis made two nice plays yesterday. I would expect these guys will be key contributors for a long time in this defense.
Tevaseu was waived. Guess they saw enough from Ellis last night. Wonder if Tevaseu was motivation or a backup plan?
I'm glad they played this Ellis and Marcus Dixon this week, they played well. A lot of the time Pouha, Pitouta, and Devito are slow buffoons out there.
I think it MTV was waived because Kendricks trial has been pushed back to after nfl season. No need to keep MTV if there is no concern of losing Ellis at some point later this year.
The Jets are getting gashed on runs outside the tackles so it is a valid point. Maybe this shouldn't get pegged on the DL but a problem none-the-less.
In our defense its the job of the OLB to seal the edge, not one of the down lineman. So the "speed" of players like Deviot is not an issue. Those guys are in there to be stout and eat up multiple blockers, not cover sideline to sideline.
That's clearly a discipline issue with the players. Set the edge and keep contain and they'll be where they were last sesaon. I've seen DeVito blow up plenty of plays in the backfield this season
Outside run success is mostly on the backers. Scott has been below average this year against the run. Westerman and Maybin are obvious downgrades at the position when it comes to run defense - BT was so underrated as a run stopper. Harris can't make every play. Someone else has to step up. We've been talking about Arizona State's Vontaze Burfict a lot in the draft forum. He's the type of versatile linebacker that can take a potentially dominant run defense over the top. Burfict can blitz, cover, and dominate against the run. If he falls to the Jets in the draft, I think it's a must draft situation. Scott, Pace, and Thomas are on their way out. A youth movement started this past off-season - it's not over yet. We have a couple situational pass rusher in Westerman and Maybin. We definitely need a starting caliber player opposite Pace. The depth is there at OLB, but a every down player isn't. Kenrick Ellis, Muhammed Wilkerson, and whoever the hell else lines up with them make up a hell of a line. Sione Pouha should be a career NYJ. Mike DeVito is an overachiever that's works best as a rotational end. Marcus Dixon and Ropati Pitoitua provide solid depth and versatility. NYJ fans can bash Tannenbaum and Ryan all they want for not upgrading the front seven sooner, but they've been quietly building something here. A bunch of a no names and sleeper picks are really working out for us. For the first time in what seems like almost a decade, I can honestly say that the Jets have depth in their front seven. The pass rush will come sooner than later.
There's a role for Bellore - he's already in it: backup ILB that makes plays on specials. He's a UDFA because of limited physical ability. He came to play for the best specials coach in the league and earned a spot. That speaks volumes. Josh Mauga and Nick Bellore provide solid depth inside. In my opinion, that's all they'll ever do here.
