    Pass blocking was great
    Pocket presence seemed good
    Great route
    Great throw
    Great blocking by teammates
Santonio reminding everyone that he is a playmaker.

    All great.

But, what the hell was that flight boy celebration at the 5 yard line?

That ball was nearly stripped before the goalline and all the great aspects of that play was inches away from being negated by a boneheaded early celebration.

You see all these boneheaded celebrations happening around the NFL that bites people in the ass, and yet these idiots go do it again and again.

Only a Jets fan would give a shit about the players' celebration on a beautiful executed play in all aspects.

I was wondering when this thread would show up. There was no chance that ball was getting stripped

+1. The camera angle made it look like it could be stripped, but in reality there's no way that the defender could've closed a 3 yard gap before Holmes made it 2 feet and broke the plane.

Holmes looks like a fool with all his celebrations. I'm convinced that he dropped that wide open easy-to-catch ball against the Fins last year b/c he started celebrating (in his mind) before he caught the ball.

Some receivers drop the ball b/c they are thinking about turning up field and running for extra yards or they are worried about getting hit hard. Holmes drops the ball when he's thinking about his celebration.

He's a great player, but I really don't like him. If more of the Jets were like him, I wouldn't be able to watch.

It was a great TD, but not good enough for me. Bitches have standards.

Hell, you're already singing a different tune without it being stripped.

Perceived threat of a "strip" was an optical illusion based on camera angle. Friend who sat low on 5 yd line they were about 3 yards apart

I agree. Protect the ball and hand it to the official in the end zone like the classy Curtis Martin.
