Lol at the conspiracies. He's the best commentator in the game behind Mike Tirico.

 

MNF definitely has found a good combination with these guys.....the best combo I can remember. They should lock all three up for as long as they can

 

try watching a basketball game with LeBron playing and Tirico announcing. All I hear is slurp slurp slurp. it's awful

 

I cannot recall him saying anything good about the Jets unless they were blowing the opposition out. He ALWAYS seems to be opposed to the Jets. I suspect that his wife makes him wear a #12 Jets jersey and screams out "Oh Joe!!!" when she allows him to get lucky.

 

As mick said, the guy knows football. Sure he did not see Marshall initiate the contact and he's right that at least 705 of the time the refs throw a flag there.

I'll take him over a guy like Deirdorf, Millen, or god forbid kornheiser anyday.

 

I agree. Dude tripped and barreled into Revis. Not flagworthy.

 

I like Gruden, He's a good commentator but as for him bitching on that Revis pick. It was pretty clear that Marshall tripped on his his own and initiated the contact with Revis, he was wrong on that one.

 

Gruden's always the first guy to call out bad penalties, especially unjustified PI calls. Take off the green glasses, the guy's an excellent color commentator.

But if you'd prefer, maybe we could start a petition to bring back Kornheiser or Miller.

I also thought you could have possibly called incidental contact (not PI), but the ball was so far behind Marshall and his head was down as well, it really didn't make a difference.

 

yeah he tripped over his own feet and fell forward. That's what the refs saw too.

 

Gruden and JAWS suck ass. Half the time they aren't even talking about the game but instead are arguing for the ability to call for reviews on penalty and even non-penalty calls or whether players should be practicing during a bye week. I want them to SHUT THE FUCK UP because they are idiots and SUCK BALLS.

This guy, well he was obviously wrong about the PI call but he's a helluva guy. Hard hitting analysis and a good insight on the game. I'll tell you what Jaws, he's a real football commentator.

 

Don't defend Gruden. All he does is say stupid shit and verbally suck Tom Brady's dick. Even when Brady isn't playing!!!

 

He's not bad skill-wise but he often acts like a douche.

 

Gruden can be unbearable at times, but there are probably only 3-4 commentators on the planet for any sport that are bearable all the time. Most of them suck, just turn on Fox to see.

 

I wish Mike Tirico would announce every primetime game by himself. He's that damn good and his analysis is always spot on. He's got a passion for the game that I haven't heard since the days of John Madden.
