Holmes is right. Even though he said it to the media, he's right. They haven't been doing their job all season. Mangold going down was huge, which hurt everything including the defense, but the OL still cannot go from top 5 to bottom 10 in an offseason. That's inexcusable.

But this back and for bullshit isn't going to solve anything, and its only going to cause the embarrassing NY media to feast on this shit.

Next time Holmes wants to attack his teammates, say that everyone has to play better, including himself, and that everyone needs to step up. The offense, defense, everyone. The whole team.

Because a leader can challenge all 52 guys he plays with and himself. But he can't single out a cog in the offensive wheel. The offense has to stick together.... Schotty he can call out. We know he's not maximizing potential.

it's not an issue of morality it's an issue of practicality. Speaking to the media doesn't actually fix anything and just worsens the lockerroom morale. I'm dissapointed in them both

especially when you only changed out one piece, because that piece was a very old injured one that eventually retired. I don't know exactly what to blame in our OL, but even when Mangold's been in there, we have been subpar. With two of the best players in the game in Brick and Nick, how we can be so pitiful is mindboggling. It's not all Hunter, he has been the worst, but Slauson and Moore are not playing like they were last year at all.

I agree that if Holmes needs to call out in the media, it needs to be the whole team, specifically himself. Calling out a unit, particuarly one he isnt a part of is causing dissention amongst the ranks.

As far as your belief that its ok to call out Schotty in the media, i also have an issue with. Yes we know he's right, but we know he's right about the OL too, that doesnt make it ok for him to make it a public issue. Calling out the coaching staff is just going to piss off everybody, and finger pointing is how teams start to unravel. We have already started finger pointing, and god forbid we lose to the Phins tomorrow, it could become an all-out internal war.

If it doesnt get righted soon, the locker room is going to fracture, and we are going to have to blow up a good thing that we have going. Whether it means kicking out players or coaches that can no longer exist together, the possibility could quickly become a reality if things don't start to change quickly.

Exactly it's obvious so why go out and run your mouth to the press. It's not like it's some shocking revelation all it does is cause problems.

Complaining by a player to the media is not the solution of a problem. Its just another a problem.
