Well some 4th place team usually ends up winning their division.......

    Why not the Titans?

When I clicked on this thread, I was expecting the original post to read "Brian Schottenheimer fired".

The Patriots have 3 division games left. Buffalo is gone (I realize they only have 1 loss), Miami was history after the 1st week, but I really don't think the JETS are not going to make the playoffs as a Wild Card team. From afar, I really don't understand why those 3 road losses happened, but the JETS are too good a team to let 3 losses in a row happen again the rest of the season. Tonite's game should define the rest of the JETS season. Send Miami packing early.

It's way too early to be worrying about playoff races, if we play like we are capable of the rest will take care of itself.

The sad fact is that the Cowboys had the game against the Pats in hand and all they had to do was get a first down or two to run out the clock. Unfortunately, they tried two running plays in a row (playing to the Pats strength) and on third and long didn't even attempt a pass. I hate when a team doesn't even try to throw the ball when they have a chance to put the game away.

I can imagine what this board would have been like if the Jets had that play selection at the end of the game. As soon as you saw the Cowboys offense go into the shell on that last series you knew that the Pats would win. It's happened like that too many times before in the past.

Give NE's D some credit, they did what our supposedly much better D could not do in the title game, against oak and against NE last week and that's give the O one last shot at the end of the game.

I don't disagree that the Pats "D" made the stops when they had to. I was just commenting on the Cowboys "offensive" strategy at the end of the game.

The Cowboys had the Jets dead-to-rights in week one, and Tony Romo imploded. His coach didn't want to allow him to do that again.
Running out the clock is the right choice- the Cowboys just couldn't do it.

I still holdout hope the Patriots crashland on top of the Giant's training compound, but that's just me.

QFT. Though I'm sure everyone by now has asked WTF, this post needs to be repeated. Like 624 said, at best, a meh day for us. TONIGHT will determine how good or bad a weekend this was.

it was like Schotty was calling the plays for the Cowboys yesterday. So frustrating seeing teams always play the Pats stupid. In the redzone you dont even throw it up to Dez who was one on one or go to Witten. Instead you try to run it up the middle and then have to settle for FG which obviously didnt help.

Actually, it was like Schotty's dad was calling the plays for the Cowboys. Offense and defense in that last 4 minutes.

Probably ... so in a strange way I guess we'd be better off having the Pats beat the Steelers next week to help us in the WC. Thanks alot Garrett!!! Nice fucking playcalling.
