1. Cotchery wanted to leave and basically said he was done with the Jets 2. He's only played in 2 out of 5 of the Steelers' games this season and he didn't get a single catch in either of them. I loved the effort from Cotchery last season but right now there is no appeal to him other than nostalgia.
The player doesn't have leverage. The team does. The players tend to come around. I guess this is supposed to be funny? What did he contribute other than a big mouth?
I'm not arguing the point, it was an honest question. Those are all legitimate reasons which I agree with, I guess I just had high hopes that he would be a serious weapon for us and maybe come back for another year or two, but it looks highly doubtful.
lol, we couldn't even get a guaranteed seventh-rounder, it's a conditional seventh-rounder? Oh well, good riddance.
I bet if he didn't have any post-game comments he'd still be a Jet. Schotty must have thrown a hissy fit and said that he can't work with Mason anymore. We're boned now.
Addition by subtraction. This accomplished two things get rid of a cancer and tell the rest of the players to shut the fuck up and play. Love the move. Please let's face it Mason sucked this year. Frankly who cares about the reasons why he sucked be it Schotty age etc
Braylon - Ego problem, overblown expectations of his dollar value, legal troubles Cotchery - Huge injury problem, didn't want to be here Mason - Loudmouth, unproductive, loudmouth, insubordinate to coaches and team leaders in front of the media, loudmouth Did that answer it for your?
If we loose to miami and matt moore we might as well toss in the towel. Not because of the fact that we could not make the playoffs due to seating, but more so how we cant beat matt moore and miami whos 0-4
Exactly. As cool of a guy that Rex Ryan is, he needs to hold his players accountable. Mason was unproductive and a cancer in the locker room. Good to see Kerley get more reps as a result. I know Belicheck would have done the same thing.
