The practice is around 2 PM, but the "festivities" will be starting in the morning at around 10.

Fans Beat Heat as Jets and Official Team Ice Cream Make
    2006-08-04 10:32 (New York)

    Preseason Debut at Meadowlands

'Jets Sundae Blitz' from Turkey Hill Dairy honors New York Jets Foundation

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa., Aug. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Besides free admission to
the Jets' first-ever open practice at the Meadowlands, there's one thing all
Jets fans can be certain of at this weekend's training session -- they'll be
cooling down with samples of the team's official ice cream.

That's because the Jets' official ice cream flavor has been included on
the preseason roster, just in time to beat the heat wave. Jets Sundae Blitz
Ice Cream is made by Turkey Hill Dairy of Lancaster, Pa. and named in honor of
the New York Jets and their tried-and-true fans. While it's not green, the
new flavor does team premium chocolate ice cream with peanut butter swirls and
    mini-choco-peanut-butter footballs.

Jets Sundae Blitz commemorates the Jets' strong defensive line and the
team's charitable contributions to help area youth organizations through the
New York Jets Foundation. For each sack made by the Jets, members of the
team's defensive line make a financial donation to the Foundation. The team's
25 sacks during the 2005 season raised $35,000. The players will be joined
during the 2006 season by Turkey Hill Dairy, who will also make a donation for
each sack by the Jets' defense.

"We were drawn to the Jets because of their strong fan base and their
support of the children of New York," said Quintin Frey, president of Turkey
Hill Dairy. "That's something we always want to be a part of, and we're so
proud to honor a partnership that includes kids, families, true athletes and
    their surrounding communities."

Jets Sundae Blitz is available year round at Pathmark, A&P, Shoprite,
Waldbaums, King Kullen, Foodtown, and Stop N Shop. For a sample of the new
team flavor, visit Turkey Hill at the Jets' training camp at the Meadowlands
on August 5 or Hofstra University on August 23.
