Wilson will be a legitimate #2 CB when Cromartie leaves

You've only got 2 possible answers:

    1. Yes, I understand football, and Kyle Wilson has developed very nicely into a solid CB.

    OR

    2. I have no clue when it comes to football and I say that Wilson sucks.

    Take your pick folks

Like I said the only thing I saw Wilson do wrong in 5 games this season, is allow branch to make that catch today, and then not tackle him/push him out of bounds. He allowed branch an extra 10 yards or so as a result. but thats the biggest negative i can find on him through 5 weeks. Thats a pretty damn good season by a corner, unless your name is revis.

Thx. He is playing better. Right now, all he wants is a win.

He's a keeper. Anybody who says otherwise is either trolling or doesn't understand this game.
    Very happy he's a Jet.

Agreed. Had a very solid game against an excellent passing team. He let up that one pass against Branch, but other than that was solid. I remember a great pass break up on 3rd down against Welker as well.

Aside from the Branch catch, Wilson played another great game today. I'm excited to see him continue to grow and I really like watching the doubters struggle to find criticisms.

SNY was ripping wilson for horrible play. I had to shut it off because they seemed clueless.

I actually like Wilson playing as the nickel. His coverage is improving immensely, and his tackling skills are very good. His consistency is a lot higher than Cro's, however I believe his role is perfect in the slot or covering the 3rd WR.

wilson has played extremely well and up to his potential.

i think he can only get better. you can tell he has his swagger again after making tackles and plays. loved how he got in half a hand to knock out that ball to welker.

the branch play was only his only bad play

Wilson really seems like he has made HUGE strides. Wonder how much working with Revis has helped him? It has to have had a tremendous effect. Great to see him coming along.

they embarrassed themselves. i saw that as well.

i remember talking about, "whenever wilson gives up a pass, that WR goes absolutely nowhere. he is a magnet, and great tackler. wait until he starts to make plays on balls."

he did last night. kyle is feeling more confident and its obvious. he isnt afraid/nervous whatever you want to use about his coverage. he is trying to make plays on the ball now.

Here's the thing for me. I like Wilson. I was excited as fuck when we drafted him and couldn't wait to see him on the field. We all know what happened last year, so it's in the past, let's look at the now.

This thread has been full of folks, for the most part, who have seen a tremendous improvement. But like the SNY guys, I just haven't seen it. Maybe I'm missing something or not appreciating something and need to rewatch the game but differently.

For those who are thrilled by him this year, I'm just curious as to why. Also, does anyone have numbers for how many times he's been targeted, how many completions he's given up and for how many yards?

Again, this is not to "troll," but more because I'm feeling like an idiot reading the comments in this thread and want to know what I'm missing.

What exactly did he do yesterday that made him look bad then? I saw him on a couple plays break up passes and thats it. He is also a great tackler for a corner. He is also playing as a nickle corner covering the slot with Revis and Cromartie on the outside so he is who is going to be attacked.

Ditto...Im a realist. Last year their were some obvious deficiencies. He worked on them and has come back much better. If that was him covering welker on the 73yard bomb he would have been crucified....but it was revis/smith so it was ok....But we are losing so he is the scapegoat...

    We need a win...It cures a lot....
