Now, I am in no way blaming this game on the defense because I know it was mostly the offense. HOWEVER, when the Jets draw within one score at the end of the game the DEFENSE HAS GOT TO STOP THEM AND GET THE BALL BACK. This was the second time this season that they failed to do that in 5 games. That is not a big time defense....a big time defense gets you the ball back in that spot with a chance to win or tie. This isn't just this season either. Remember the game against the colts last year? Yes...the Jets won but the defense could not make that big stop with the lead at the end of the game and darn near lost because of it. Even the game against the patriots in the playoffs when we had a 14 pt lead and brady came down the field with ease...I guarantee you had the pats recovered that onside kick...with 20 seconds left....theyd have tied it with a TD...I firmly believe that. Finally, can someone explain to me why our "big time defense" couldn't get the ball back from the Steelers in the AFC title game when we drew within 5? Anyone else see a pattern?

It's partially true, but at the same time, holding Tom Brady to 30 points while your offense has seven 3 and outs is an accomplishment.
the jets offense is like the blue jays. terrible, but enough talent that a good manager(eg, offensive side of the ball) will turn them around.
People should read my post....I wasn't saying this game was on the defense but I was pointing out that on several occasions the defense fails to get the ball back late in the game when we put ourselves in position to win or tie with another score and that is a FACT. You want me to take an IQ test? Fine....last time I took one I scored a 130 and I am a certified teacher in the state of NY. You don't want to have an IQ war with me pal.
jets defense will be best in the league in the 4th quarter by the end of the season-- they're playing about 40 minutes per game on the field.
The Jets are CONSTANTLY on the field. How many 3 and outs did we have this game? You keep making them play 3/4ths of the game, they get tired, and more ineffective. More time on offense = more resting time for defense = better defense. The offense is the bane of this team right now, not the defense.
