Its so great to catch an intelligent post every once in a while. This is why I was a little upset when we released him. I realize he isnt a probowl pass rusher but Maybin is basically your blitzing nickel or dime back that Rex loves to send. Rex will create situations where Maybin will disrupt the QB or Maybin will allow someone else to disrupt the QB.
He seems to have the footwork of Kerry Rhodes. He looked like he was on rollerskates trying not to fall down 3/4 of the time while in pursuit. Anyone else notice this?
Jesus, get over it. We finally get a guy with enough speed to get to the QB and everybody wants to tear him apart on technique. Give me a break.
He can't get to the QB if he's going to have one move and get washed out of the play. He got to flacco due to good coverage down the field, and he hustles. His hustle is his best asset. The speed is awesome, but he's got a lot to learn as a football player.
Think of it this way, if he can elarn other maoves/pan out on this team. That gives the Jets so much flexibility in the draft/free agency next year.
 That, sir, only underscores how pathetic the Jets pass rush has been, NOT how good Aaron Maybin is. As the 11th player taken in the 2009 draft, he sucks. As a refugee from the waiver wire, he's better than most of the street FAs the Jets could have picked up. He is simply too small to effectively play DE on a regular basis, and he's not nearly athletic enough to play LB or SS. Moreover, his "drive to never give up on a play" was never seen in Buffalo. In fact, his dedication to improving his skills was repeatedly questioned, even during the Jauron regime. The guy couldn't even play ST, so he never saw the field. You people are delusional in your expectations for Maybin.
Amen! The Bills tried to teach him this for 2 seasons, and it just "did not compute" -- and don't say that the Bills didn't want to bother teaching him. Not only do teams NOT want to whiff on first round draft picks, the Bills, in particular, have demonstrated repeatedly that they are more than willing to work with young players who want to be football players.
It actually only shows what pathetic troll you are. If you watched the playoff game last year chances are even a fucking retard like yourself would realize all the sacks were coverage sacks. Nah that would get in the way of a good troll. Wow you suck, have you added one bit to any discussion? We all know his limitations you ...........@
Yes, I really think he can have big game. Brady won't have receivers open quick enough for him to get rid of the ball without someone getting to him. He should be matched up against patriots rookie RT solder, force him be quicker than maybin. I'd also like to see mcknight on a pass rush as well.
Oh yea that was amazing last week huh? Joe Mc Knight did nothing for me coming out of USC and even less during his first training camp but to go from vomiting and being the bud of the joke a little over a year ago to a special teams SUPER STAR both offensively and defensively and now even rushing the passer is amazing to me would love to see him run the WildCat this week
The only thing Maybin needs to learn is not to trip over his own fucking feet. He may already be elite but its difficult to demonstrate when he's swimming in the turf one yard over the LOS.
I have taken a lot of pleasure in his failure the last couple of years being a first round pick w a division rival and all. That being said, he does have speed, and speed you can't teach. So if someone can teach him to tackle he may be more than a warm body (aka Ghoulston)
