Slightly subdued over there for a Jet-pats week but this one's pretty good:

    Leonhard: Revis to Cover Welker

    http://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/10/825246-leonhard-revis-cover-welker.html

Every week the opposing fans are anxious to have their best receiver destroy Revis. Why doesn't it ever happen?

    Gotta love posts like this:

The pats receivers can not be covered because they lack speed and don't stretch the field. Also, Revis isn't made to cover a guy like Welker. Well shit... after Revis I'm not sure there's too many others that can. I suppose Welker is the greatest, most uncoverable receiver to walk the planet.

Funny how they photoshopped this to make Wanker appear to be an adult sized human.

its just like playoff game...Jets will pick their poison situationally and chose matchups....of course no-huddle changes everything.....its all about pressure...no pressure = no huddle all day

Gronkowski is going to be the problem. I've watched him all season. His hands are excellent for a big TE. He can catch and hang on to the ball in traffic. He can hang onto the ball after taking big hits.

    I'm worried about this.

I don't like Gronkowski. He handle balls too firm.

Raiders did a pretty good job on him .. He was pretty much doubled when he wasn't run blocking... On the flip side that allowed Welker to have a big day .. Now add in Hernandez into the mix (if healthy) .. pretty good chess match coming up ..

this one actually takes the cake

"I think Welker would embarrass Revis. The Jets got this guy for guys like Randy Moss. Tall and fast. But Wes is small and shifty.
We may not have Moss any more but we got another guy who is pretty tall and fast ...Aaron Hernandez.
So I call BS on this rumor. I think Revis will be on AH. They'll put Cromartie on Wes.
Of course, I could be wrong"

its actually completely backwards... Cro would (and has) get destroyed by Welker. He is a terrible matchup for him. Revis can cover anybody, but it sounds like wilson has drawn Welker this week...

I really hope they put Revis on Welker. Wes is having an all-time great season for a WR; the guy's on pace for 160 catches and 2,400 yards. I think he could be the toughest challenge Revis has faced, because as the Pats fans have pointed out, it's a different type of matchup for him. Revis can shut down anyone, in my opinion, but it will be very tough containing Welker on those quick slants and outs they run. I think it'd be a great challenge for him.

Welker's a unique receiver, but facing Randy Moss, Andre Johnson, and Calvin Johnson are definitely tougher.

I go on this board a lot to check out some comments. They have this connotation that all posters on TGG are retarded, yet most of the comments I see on their boards are filled with subjective viewpoints, straw man arguments, and assertions not backed up by any facts.

Most still think Welker torched Revis when they faced off, yet none want to look at the stats. 21 times Revis/Welker were matched up man to man; welker had 1 reception for 4 yards. In what fucking universe did Welker own Revis?
