Team A gives up: Mike Wallace Joseph Addai Beanie Wells Team B gives up: Brandon Marshall CJ2K Jonathan Stewart
Team A wins. Flacco is a solid starter and Jennings just puts up great numbers each game, if its a PPR league he's even more valuable. I like Stafford a lot and he is a great acquisition but Mike Williams is having a down year and so is Freeman, not what you'd want in a top flight WR. Its close but Id say Flacco and Jennings wins.
Just to clarify the players listed under each team are ones being given away by that team, not received. So when you say Flacco/Jennings wins, I'm assuming you mean the team receiving them correct?
Oh shit oops my bad I meant the team receiving them, my mistake on that. I edited them, Team A wins both trades. Hope that was you bud.
Chris Johnson is not having a good year. He'll get his 1000 yards, but he's going to do it with a 3.3 yard average. With Kenny Britt going down, opponents will continue to stack the box. He's schedule eases up in the middle of the season and definitely for the playoffs, but will the Titans be giving him the ball or protecting their investment? I see this as a wash, but if I was 0-3 or 1-2, then I might try to get Chris Johnson and hope he can get me some wins.
I would never trade for Stafford. He takes too many hits and is not durable. The person who has him is trading high hoping to get value before Stafford misses any time screwing him. I might draft him as a backup or rotational starter, but that is it. Maybe this season he will prove me wrong, but after that Vikings game I don't see how he can hold up.
I don't see how this is a wash at all. Mike Wallace is a slight upgrade over Brandon Marshall. Addai is about even with Jonathan Stewart, although in these situations I will usually favor the back with more talent and upside, which is Stewart. That means you think CJ2K is barely better than Beanie Wells for this trade to be a wash. I don't see how you can think that is the case. I know Chris Johnson has had a rough first few weeks, but we're talking about one of the most talented offensive players in the game, who is the focus of his teams offense. It's very possible his YPC average drops this year, but that still doesn't move him down to Beanie Wells territory. With Britt gone, CJ2K will get even more touches in the red zone. Him and Beanie Wells aren't even comparable, in real life or fantasy. Huge steal for team 1.
I would be Team A in both circumstances. I'm in 1st place and undefeated in both leagues (Oddly enough, the only undefeated team left in both leagues). I also have most pts in both leagues. In the OP that trade is to solidfy my RB core without downgrading too hard on WR. The kid I'm trading with is desperate for pts right now and it looks like I've convinced him CJ2K will have a tough time going forward without Britt to keep D's honest. He wanted Andre Johnson but I told him no shot.My lineup with the trade would be: Rodgers Andre Marshall Manningham/ David Nelson Forte CJ2K JerMichael Finley Whoever my Flex is (Stewart, one of my WR3, Johnny Knox) If CJ comes on that turns into an incredibly scary team My 2nd post Stafford is my backup to Rodgers. He'll never play above Rodgers no matter how well he lights it up. Figured using Stafford to get Jennings would help me with my WR2 spot (Calvin is my WR1) and would pretty much cut down on any decision making each week. I have alot of talent at WR on this squad (AJ Green, Steve Smith(CAR), Manningham, Lance Moore, and Mike Williams). I figure getting Greg Jennings will also help me make a couple more deals for draft picks next year by trading Steve Smith and possibly AJ Green if he starts coming on. This would be my starting lineup if trade is accepted Rodgers Calvin Jennings McCoy Mathews Witten Best Solid for a PPR league
CJ is no longer the focus of the team. New coach, new philosophy. Stop living in the past. His hold out hurt him getting into the new offense. Also, CJ is playing like he has a lingering injury. Just my opinion. I said, I might risk trading for him because of his easy schedule the rest of the season and Britt going down, but I don't see him as a big upgrade over Addai and Wells. Slight upgrade more like. Addai and Wells are having good years, but aren't great. Not bad options in the flex and bye week replacements. With strong WRs and QB, they could serve as RB1 and RB2 even. Stewart has 90 yards in three games with no TDs. Not even a good flex option unless Williams gets hurt. Again, new coach, new philosophy. Panthers are a weak defensive team which will need to pass to stay in most games. With Stewart and Williams splitting carries, neither are worth starting. As for Wallace and Marshall, Wallace is an upgrade over Marshall who is likely to be inconsistent throughout the year. Both have big game potential every week, but that is dependent on their QB play and Wallace has the better passer.
Everyone plays it with a calculator, unless you are scoring with an abacus. Actually, Rockefella seems more like a slide rule kinda cock-sucker.
Wallace has a 6 game 100 yard receiving streak. He also has more production than Johnson and Stewart combined. Beanie wells is a viable #2 back option who plays in a weak defensive division. Stafford is a man on fire right now. His numbers are on par with Aaron Rodgers', in terms of fantasy production. You cannot count on Stafford to get injured like, let's say Steven Jackson or Frank Gore...yet. Brandon Marshall, Johnson and Stewart are useless to me right now.
