My main league is 12 teams, .5 ppr, 6 point touchdowns. After pulling off some trades with other teams this is the way my roster currently sits...

    QB - Ben Roethlisberger
    WR - Andre Johnson
    WR - Santana Moss
    RB - Ray Rice
    RB - Peyton Hillis
    TE - Antonio Gates
    W/R/T - Frank Gore
    K - Mason Crosby
DEF - Arizona (Playing the match ups weekly)
    BN - Jimmy Graham TE
    BN - Mike Williams (TB)
    BN - Ricky Williams
    BN - Davone Bess
    BN - Beanie Wells
    BN -

I received Jimmy Graham in a trade where I mainly wanted Mike Williams, so Graham is being offered for a wideout to another team since I don't have a need for him. I also have one free bench spot after trading for Peyton Hillis.

Trading for Hillis has left me with a pretty solid RB group, so my main question is would you guys hold on to all four backs (Rice/Hillis/Gore/Wells) or try and move one of them? There is another owner interested in Wells for Romo, but would Romo statistically be much of an upgrade over Roethlisberger? Part of me says yes, but I'm terribly indecisive.

    I would package Wells and:

    Roethlisberger for an elite QB
    Graham for an elite WR
Mike Williams for an elite RB

Strike while the iron is hot. If you're feeling Greedy see if you can swing Wells and Gore for someone like Darren McFadden or Calvin Johnson

Thanks for the input, all solid ideas, just gotta weigh my options and see who's open to making a trade. A lot of the owners in this league are hesitant to agree to any trade, it's frustrating.

You need some receiving help and Wells will only have high value for so long. Wells and Graham should get you a top 10 WR. Fill your last bench spot with a Carolina, St Louis, or Buffalo WR. Lots of passing going on there.

WR is definitely my weakest point. The other owner interested in Graham has Stevie Johnson. I know there's no way he's letting go of Roddy White, so he might be my best bet.

Stevie Johnson would be a great addition and a better option to put in your flex most weeks than Frank Gore. Make that trade!

Would he be more inclined to include White if you swapped Graham for Gates?

I would see what type of WR I could fetch for Gates, tbh. His foot was a weekly problem last season, and 2011 is no different.
Meanwhile Graham has been outstanding since the latter part of 2010.

I'm not saying Graham will be better than gates all year. It just would be interesting to see if Gates would provide an enormous upgrade at WR, while the drop-off to Graham wouldn't be too steep.

    In my opinion White/Graham > S.Johnson/Gates.

    Wow, I disagree.
The only way that would be true is if you were convinced that Gore was going to miss a ton of time with injury.

I disagree with about 75% of the fantasy advice that NickD gives. I do agree with trading Gates instead of Graham though if you think you can get a better player in return. Graham isn't a huge dropoff from Gates, especially with taking the injury concerns into account.

ToonWalker, like your idea best so far. Gonna offer gates for white. Thanks!

Gates for White would be a great move too, but I don't know many who would take it.

My main concern over that trade is that Graham's production could take a hit once Colston and Moore are healthy and Ingram starts running the ball better.

Fact: Without factoring TDs, Gore is averaging 7.5 points a game in this guys league. Johnson is averaging 11.0 points. 10.5 to 17.0 with TDs. Santana Moss is his other receiver and is averaging 10.25 without TDs, 13.25 with.

Gore is on the downside of his career in a weak pass first offense and likely not to see 30 carries ever again. The only good side to owning Gore is that he isn't splitting carries with anyone (yet). He is overvalued, especially in PPR leagues. Until he shows he can break 50 yards against an average run defense, I would seek better options.

Another 4 pts for Gore while Stevie Johnson pulls in 19. Disagree with my fantasy advice all you want, but it won't win you any fantasy games.

I ended up trading Jimmy Graham / Santana Moss for Roddy White. Just gonna have to play the monitor Antonio Gates all season long game.

The same can be said for half the first to third round RB right now. The first 3 games have been wacky

I'm gonna have a lot of fun buying elite RBs cheap in trades

Seriously. I traded James Starks straight up for Peyton Hillis. Not sure why he was so quick to ditch Hillis.
