I agree, besides division games should never be trap games. This week against oakland is more of a trap game IMO.
Jeez, didn't expect this response. I was really just kidding around. Guess its hard to do that online when you can't use tone of voice
Being as I have DirecTV and a half empty DVR, I've actually had a chance to record and watch the Bills/Raiders and Pats/Charger games. My impression is that the Bills are pretty good and that the Chargers are their own worst enemy. Oh yeah...the Pats D kinda sux.
Hang with me if you can The Bills beat the Chiefs 41-7. In week 2, the Chiefs lost to the Lions 48-3. The Bills beat the Raiders on a last second play. The Raiders squeaked out a win over the Broncons in week 1. The Broncos won by 2 against the Bengals, who many people believe are one of the worst teams in the NFL. Not buying the Bills at all. If they play New England close I'll give them respect but until then, you can't buy into them. I know the Raiders are solid but when did they become a measuring stick?
You can't come to conclusions like that in the NFL. A + B /= C.... Each game is seperate. Obviously, how the Bills play against the Pasts will be a better measuring stick, but there is no formula. Every team puts up stinkers, and some bad teams play out of their minds. By Week 8 we should know if the Bills are for real or not. I personally think they'll still do 7-9 at best. I'd love to see the Fins stink it up around 3-13/4-12 but I think they're better than that. 6-10.
I think the Bills are in for a rude awakening this week. They may put up points against the Pats subpar defense, but it wouldn't shock me to see Brady and the Pats just blow them out of the water. I could see something along the lines of 49-24.
the bills usually play the pats pretty tough just like they usually beat us @ least once a yr, the way they've been playing of late I'm not too sure they'll get blown out.
This is what I'm going to start calling them when Brady and BB retire and they become a 4-12 team again.
3-13 is a whole different level of bad. Watching them against the Patriots and Texans, both of whom are the favorites to win their divisions (although we'll have something to say about the former), they don't look as bad as 3-13. At the very least, they have a very good chance of beating Cleveland, Denver, and Kansas City, they'll likely win at least one division game, and they'll probably win a game or two they're not supposed to. There's an outside chance they win 3-4 games, but they're most certainly more like a 5 or 6 win team. Personally, the last thing I want is for the Dolphins to win 3 games and be in the thick of the Andrew Luck sweepstakes. It's also worth mentioning that we don't know a whole lot about the poor teams this early in the season. It's an odd one. Defenses league wide look terrible at this point. They're supposed to be ahead of the offenses at this point, and yet they look absolutely dreadful. Last season, you didn't have a single team averaging more than 400 yards against. After two weeks in a normally defensively strong early season, you have 7 teams. Hell, the Packers have an excellent defense, and they've given up 952 yards across two games. The Miami defense isn't nearly as bad as it looks right now either. Things will average out.
Jets Fins rivalry usually goes in cycles, w/the better over-all team faring worse in the head to head ( Remember all the years we had 4 wins and one (or two!) would be against the Dolphins. That being said, I'd love to see a sweep this season, too./
I agree with that. Last year the Bills played the Pats tough in one of their games, and with the Pats defense off to a poor start I don't think this is a true blowout.
I think both the Pats and Bills D is pretty pathetic right now. Not only is the Patriots D a work in progress but they've been hit very hard with injuries. I think it will certainly be a shootout which I do think would give the edge to the Pats but the Bills could upset.
