In franchise mode, when I set the slider for RB1/RB2 to 50/50, this appears to have no effect at all, and my first-string RB still gets all the carries whether I'm simulating the games or playing them. Is there something else I need to do in order for my 2 RBs to get equal carries? Or am I just misunderstanding what that slider actually does?
thats odd those usually work. but i havent messed with them this yr. have you tried anything more towards RB2? maybe u have to go a lil overboard.
This is getting stupid, I made Shonn Greene (RB2) the HB for all I-Form plays and he went 2 games without getting a single carry. Reggie Bush is RB1, fyi, and I have him as the HB in all Singleback and Shotgun formations.
I just use the package substitutions when my main back gets a little tired or I want to use a different back. I've been trying to use three backs in my rebuild franchise - I started out with a team of players rated 65 and below, and built it through FA and trades ( a lot of good players get cut during pre-season). Signed Laurence Maroney and Patrick Cobbs out of free agency and traded for Ben Tate. Maroney usually gets 15 carries and Tate gets around 8 to 10. Cobbs is just my third down back - usually gets under 5 total touches a game. This is on 10 minute quarters by the way. Also, I've found a lot of success passing by putting a tall tight end in the slot and running quick routes. I signed Jordan Cameron out of free agency during week four of pre-season and he's been a beast on third downs and in the redzone.
I have noticed with the game that the stamina is very high on anything 10 mins or more. This makes it difficult to get get your 2nd back involved in the game. You could try tapping the stamina down on the sliders until you find a nice level for your self I typically play on 8 min qtrs and don't have this problem anymore. 50/50 J.Best M.Turner
This makes the game allot of fun. I have 3 diff franchises i play. 1.Official Jets roster 2."What i would do with the Jets" 3.Sign no one over a 70 and work from there. Sometimes i truly believe the off season is more fun then the games. But i must say the ebay auction they have turned free agency into sucks
whats a slider? (Is that the juke button) Can someone give me a list of tips as I prepare my franchise mode tonight? Just like things with settings, depth chart, other things that you would not know without preparing. I am thinking of going with 7 minute quarters. I just bought madden for ps3 and did a fantasy draft and have a completely unique team, so help with this would be good.
slider are in the game settings. They allow you to adjust how frequent each type of penalty is called and basically every aspect of the game. I have also noticed there is barely a difference between playing on all pro and all madden. When making the jump from 11 to 12 even though it was basically the same game with controls and such. The AI is o much smarter this year passing is a chore. I would recommend playing a full season then make notes about what seams like BS and adjust certain sliders to compensate. I will recommend you make sure you build a running game because unlike Madden 11 your pass game will be very hard if you dont build a good run base game plan.
Deff a faan of this new addition to the game. I do not like the fact that you cant choose who to initially invite to training camp. They just kinda throw you some players and its a 50/50 wether they are worth keeping.
Love this feature, I ended up getting this safety(can't remember his name) with 97 acceleration and big hit capability who I'll usually sub in on third down pass rushing scenarios. He's garbage in coverage, but I use him like an Ihedigbo and he's great getting pressure on the QB.
