We lost both title games b/c of our D not b/c of QB play. Sanchez may not be a great stat QB yet but he makes plays when his team needs it most and that is HUGE. Give me that over better sta QBs that fold in bog games.
+1. It bothers me so much when I hear fans proclaim that we would have a couple SB rings by now if it wasn't for Sanchez. Last I checked we lost both AFC champ games due to our defense. Sanchez played pretty freakin well in those games. Our defense couldn't stop a nosebleed as Mendenhall likes to say with Ben and Mendenhall and then Peyton carving us up.
espn doing this for shits and giggles. i really dont care if mark sanchez is the 2nd best qb in the afc east, just as long as we win our games.
Yep, he almost beat us as the Bengals' backup in 2008, he's a competitor. He may be the main factor that sends the Dolphins back to the AFCE basement this year.
The thing with Sanchez is he can't be sacked. He's so damn slippery. And when he is on the run, and with this O-Line that's all the time, he plays better. And due to his ability to slip the sack he fits perfectly. I don't think he's holding the team back at all. As for Henne, he's improved and if the Dolphins defense was better they wouldn't be winless right now.
Jaamal Charles with his newly torn-ACL, forced by the Chiefs to start at QB for Week 3 > Chad Henne. Peyton Manning playing from England or wherever he went in Week 3 via satellite > Chad Henne.
It's kind of stupid, but at the same time, the Henne-Sanchez debate was interesting for a while, and with Fitz in there, it's not completely dumb. It's a blog, you're looking for content, and it's a mildly interesting debate. Don't necessarily disagree with TonyIommi before either. While Sanchez has played well in both playoff seasons, it's not like he's been great. If we had a better QB, we might be able to win the division and get some home games. I love the way he played in the 2nd half vs Pittsburgh, and he's still young enough and inexperienced enough where you can expect him to keep improving. But right now, he's still a mediocre QB with the potential to improve. And that's still better than Henne.
