if it were that serious he wouldn't have been standing on the sideline for the entire 2nd half. i'm not saying he won't miss a week or 2, but I don't think it's a 4-6 week injury. we'll see.
Maybe the were playing it safe because the offense seemed to really click today. As the Jets kept slapping Jags around it would make sense to keep Mangold on the sidelines to be extra safe.
Remember his "injury" against the Vikes in 2006. Looked like his career was over. He was back after the next play. He will not miss extended time.
He was walking around on the sideline in full gear shortly after he came back from the x-ray. It didn't seem like the coaching staff was too worried. We can probably afford to sit him for a week to let him heal but I don't think that this is going to be an extended injury.
True high ankle sprains take about 6 months to heal before a return to action, if that is the actual injury this is terrible news. Hopefully it is not the case.
Mangold is a warrior. He did write to the fans saying he would get back as soon as he could on Twitter. By him writing that, it seems serious to me.
Yea if you aren't a professional athlete and don't have 24/7 treatment from the best physical therapists money can buy. Hopefully he doesn't miss more than a week, but he could be out a month or so if it's really bad.
I would think so, but remember that tanny doesn't leave a stone unturned, so if we don't sign him then there's a reason
When your little sister can literally Clean and Jerk you, you don't have the luxury of taking any time off.
I thought Baxter looked OK today. However, if Mangold is out after next week, the Jets are up against Ngata and Wilfork in back-to-back games.
This blows, anyone thinking Baxter will be fine along with a 3rd string RT in hunter is just whistlin past the graveyard Get well mangold
